Clothing/Gear: Vylen is of noble descent and generally wears the finest in upper class clothing. He prefers the colors of the kingdom, either wearing a purple, gold or white tunic to special events. His coin is carried in a silk pouch which is always affixed to a leather belt. He is keen to thieves and usually wears a decoy pouch or two. It is not beneath Vylen to use bate and catch tactics to lure in local criminals.

Special Abilities: In every way Vylen appears as a knight, but retains only the abilities of a 12th level fighter. He specializes in longswords and is proficient with daggers, maces, spears, crossbows and longbows. He is also proficient in land-based riding, knowledge (combat), local history, ancient lore, monster lore and navigation (land).

Special Possessions: Vylen wears +4 field plate, an heirloom passed down for 3 generations. A great helm of true seeing, a +2/+3 longsword vs chaotic beings and a plus +2 dagger.

Combat: Vylen is a well rounded individual. He is not overly strong, nimble or durable, but he is adept in combat and often uses his clever banter to outwit and give himself an advantage in combat situations. A good example of this would be described as distraction tactics. Vylen's strongest attribute in combat is not in skill, nor in physical prowess, but in tactics. He is a tactical genius when it comes to large scale battles. On his own, he is defeatable, but when commanding an army he is unparalleled . He holds the king's respect and authority when making all military decisions.

Personality: Vylen is a true high-blood of noble descent. He looks and acts the part. He is boisterous, somewhat arrogant, direct in his tasks and devout towards his religion (Spaordyk). Vylen is also fair, honest and truthful to a fault. He is utmost loyal to the king, his kingdom and the king's army. He has been tasked with the station of High Constable, not because of his bloodline or his experience in combat, but because of his undying loyalty to the crown and his tactical mind.

Vylen is a soldier, un-knighted formally due to his less then chivalric mannerisms and his past history of handing down judgment upon criminals before receiving a fair trial. His strict actions are tolerated because of his family bloodline and his position in the royal ranks. He is a mighty figure politically and seems to answer only to the king. His father Hyem, ruled house Ansgot for nearly five decades until passing, at which point all noble titles and land were passed onto Vylen as the only heir. Vylen is married to eLoria Ansgut (Baroness of Brelwerth). They have 3 children, the two eldest are girls, while their youngest "Brysen" is only 3 years of age. Brysen is the only male in the family and is heir to Vylen's title and land.
