Starting roleplaying with AD&D 1st Edition in... 1993 or so. Took me a few years to realize that there were multiple editions, and that Gazetteers weren't supposed to be compatible with AD&D. First AD&D book I bought with my own money was the excellent Thri-Kreen of Athas. My favorite D&D setting is Spelljammer and my favorite version of the D&D rules is the Player's Option rules for 2e, though I am proud to say "I'm WIth D&D" as long as it's not "Core Only" or E6 or some other perversion.
Currently working on my own retrogame. Started off as an attempt to bolt Player's Option mechanics onto a simpler framework, and it's slowly turning into its own thing. I plan on using the system for a couple of my original settings, and releasing a generic version of the rules as a roughly OSR-compatible clone.

Thanks! I actually commissioned it from an artist.RPG Dinosaur wrote: That's a cool Avatar you've got there!
