Hi, to anyone there.
I've only played D&D once before, but it was really fun and I've wanted to play it more since then. No one nearby plays it though, so here I am.
I hope to have a good experience with this site, and would really appreciate a kind of tutorial or helping hand, or even a nudge in the right direction, if someone could spare the time. If not, that's ok too.
Thanks.
Hi, anyone.

Re: Hi, anyone.
Hello "Smiley" and welcome to the community! We are glad to have you.
You can feel free to write me (PM) and ask any questions you have about any version of the game that interests you. I look forward to helping in any way possible and exchanging ideas with you. Start a thread if you like in one of the sections of your interest and make your questions known and we will come along side you to help! Start by figuring out which version of D&D you have or want to play and place your queries in that section of the forums in the form of a subject thread. Maybe title it something like "Smiley's tutorial thread" to make it known you are using it to learn the game of your choice. Then just ask away!

Re: Hi, anyone.
Welcome, welcome!
If you want to learn slow, try a play-by-post game.
I play in a couple, and DM one, over at www.unseenservant.us - the folks there are very supportive.
If you'd like to learn fast hit us up with questions here and we'll help!
Be well,

Re: Hi, anyone.
I'm introducing myself to the community here on PlanetADnD. I'm interested to run a 2nd edition AD&D game, having seen it done many times before for tabletop and virtual games and only now summoning the courage to sit in the virtual DMs chair. So, I am happy to host and coordinate a play by post game or virtual game online.
Generally, I am available most nights of the week during late night hours in the Eastern Time Zone. I prefer the PBP games in a forum or other asynchronous format. If players prefer virtual games, then my goal is to have short game sessions of two hours maximum but be focused on declaring character actions in rapid fire to keep the game moving.
My DM style is narrative and focuses on exploring the fantasy world. I'm seeking folks who share a passion for collaborative story telling. Maybe we'll take a published, classic, adventure and make it our own together. Send me a message with your level of interest to play.
