Dero

Post by RivenBlade »

There's a Japanese live-action horror film Marebito, which focuses on beings called Detrimental Robots or Dero for short. The film depicts these beings as pale-skinned underground dwellers hostile to humans.

I guess what I'm asking is did hearing of these beings isnpire the Derro in the MM?

Yeah, but did Shapre's stories influence the creation of the D&D monster Derro?
