Just beautiful stuff brotha! I'm going to show these to my daughter as she's developing a really nice talent for art. I think she will find these interesting... but I'll have to read them to her ;)

Post these on the wall share Stik ;) Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for the compliment, Cole.
If your daughter expresses an interest in calligraphy, I can point you toward some books and materials.

ATM she's probably to young for that, she's just 8, but her crafting and artistic talent is fantastic. She's able to make very good copies of what she can visually see in front of her. So my guess is by the time she's 12 or so, calligraphy might be something she'd really take to.

Yeah, 8 is a bit young. I did my first calligraphy in sixth grade, I think, then discovered it again as an adult.

I belong to two medieval recreation groups, and I did have someone get me started by showing me what books to read and what tools to buy, but otherwise, I am self-taught.
That being said, if you are interested in learning calligraphy and illumination, I can get you started by, well, showing you what books to read and what tools to buy and giving you some instruction, and also by reviewing your work and making suggestions.
Please feel free to drop me a PM if you want to know more.

Hey Stik, can you just upload these directly to PADnD so I can read them without the "PhotoBucket" banner strike through them? Or use the new share wall ;)

When I have time I will copy them from photobucket to the image hosting site I'm using now.

Boosting the signal - The website for charity auction that I donated my artwork to is now up. Money raised will be donated to a group which provides PPE to medical personnel.
If you have any interest in owning a piece of medieval-inspired art, click the link below to visit the site and place a bid. You can find my work under the name "Niccolo."

Just a note, it should either be Villaquemada or Villarquemado, to keep coherence between the genders, both would be odd surnames but they work as ancient Spanish

I don't make up the names. I just make the scrolls. These are all awards (or most of them anyway) for people in one or the other of the medieval recreation groups I participate in.

There's still time to bid on some awesome medieval-type art.
Auction ends 8 PM Eastern time tomorrow (7/10/20).

The art auction has ended. It brought in about $1,300. Of that, $220 was for the pieces I had done.
