Into and back from: Twilight Zone Appreciation Night!

I got on as a sales clerk at a new bookstore in my hometown for a second job back in April. The store did pretty good during the summer, but that is tourist season around here. In September the stores hands on General Manager scheduled a bunch of events (author appearances, Evening Open Read Alouds,...

Re: (OT) Easter eggs! Yum!

I lean towards dark chocolate these days but this is an easy question: Cadbury's Chocolate Eggs with the creamy center that looks just like an egg yolk. Jelly beans are still pretty good too.

Thanks again. You seem to know a lot about supplements. I'll look into the Synthovial 7 also.

Re: SOLD! - Moving to New D&D Country (Red Deer)

Curcumin is an extract of turmeric. It's mainly used as an anti-inflammatory, though it has other uses. It's far more effective than crap like Tylenol, Thanks. I'll probably try curcumin later, but right now I'm on the hunt for a pain relieving alternative to Tylenol, aspirin etc. A buddy of mine t...

What is concentrated curcumin extract? Is that an alternative pain reliever?

Interesting comic and film news about Conan

I recently logged on to the SyFy Channel website for another reason and found out that they have a complete section for comic news. I don't buy new comics very often for a couple different reasons, but my brother buys a stack more frequently and will let me read them. We are both Conan fans and I've...

Re: The Top modules of all time according to Dungeon

I remember I tried to act like the differing members of the Amber family. I mean, really tried to get into the roles acting "off" & disturbed, using voice inflections and developing nervous tics, etc. I had a blast! That's great :D I bet your players never forgot your X2 sessions eith...

Re: The Top modules of all time according to Dungeon

After reviewing the list again, I noted C2 at #44. I ran this for some friends back in '82 and we all had a blast. In fact, one of the guys liked it so much he started to write a story about the adventure. He never got much beyond the first chapter because RW concerns took over but whenever we get ...

Re: 1 or 2e.. # of arrows (or javelins) per quiver?

But how many weeks of rations can one really carry?? I'm a little late getting back here. All three of you have good points, and in some cases counterpoints. As for the question you brought up Garhkal, I guess one factor that would determine this question is if the PC(s) have any kind of mount or p...

Re: 1 or 2e.. # of arrows (or javelins) per quiver?

Keep in mind as well if they want to hunt while traveling that takes up arrows. Good point, one that I didn't really even remember to consider. If I was a player in your campaign, I would have my character stock up on a lot of iron rations before heading out on an extended adventure,(and encourage ...

Re: The Top modules of all time according to Dungeon

Desert of Desolation had one the most awesome covers ever ! https://i.pinimg.com/736x/e1/f2/3f/e1f23f5acf77cdd6a7f5d31339c2a244--deserts.jpg True that!! The last module was a beast! If the 1E version contains half as many undead placed in the path of getting to Martek as the 2E version does, I bet ...

Re: The Top modules of all time according to Dungeon

That's why I added it to my list of favorite adventures. Of course, Of course,* head slap to self*! I lost track. As I said, you really should try to get the originals. I've found whenever they put those compilations together, they frequently take liberties to mash things together to try to ...

Re: The Top modules of all time according to Dungeon

Excellent! How did you like SSoSM? Hard to say. The DM modified it heavily, by adding real ghosts to it so that their DMPC cleric could charge in and 'rescue' the rest of the party by turning said ghosts. Then that DM quit and another DM took over, and made even more changes to it. So by t...
