Re: Converting a book to a campaign?

I have a very old Robin Hood book that is mostly written in the old English style and may include different versions, since the story is not true but passed down from an unknown source(I can't find the book at the moment or this might be a better post, sorry) If you have the people interested in pla...

Re: Why We Play - PADnD Article Discussion

I play D&D because whenever I play a video game with fancy graphics the story is usually lacking. I always run into a door, or alleyway, etc. that I cannot enter or a person I cannot talk to(plus the conversation limits). Another reason is that my "mind graphics" usually blow a games o...

Re: Converting a book to a campaign?

Many apologies but I'm still around! When I read your post about Robin Hood my first thought went to the archery contest. Robin does win by himself but the whole scene seems more about the Merry Men as a group than about Robin himself(outside of winning the shot). I guess I sort of see the actual to...

Re: Predators (Yautja).. Evil or not?

Another silly comment from yours truly :D We don't really know what Preds' do on their off time... So if after hunting and beating up on Danny Glover the Preds head home and volunteer at habitat for humanity and feed the homeless, etc. do they remain evil? I guess I assume that they're pretty evil b...

"More" Excellent Stik Art!

I find myself super curious of the... motivation for these, or their background. I liked reading the story as well as the taking in the design.

Re: Predators (Yautja).. Evil or not?

I hope I'm not coming off poorly here, my own actual opinions are vague and can change easily. I may also be thinking too hard about this, or just conflating the issues :( Garhkal: I agree a bit, though I'm not sure if I'd classify sport hunting as Evil... if you bring an animal near extinction into...

Re: Predators (Yautja).. Evil or not?

I agree with what you've said. Some context for my response is that I've been reading some other posts off site(gasp! :D) that were in regards to moral quandaries and this sort of fit into that(in my mind). [Added after completing my post] I enjoyed your answer and it made me think, thus my response...

Re: Predators (Yautja).. Evil or not?

So this may be a foolish idea(I'm sure you've considered it, honestly) but humans hunt for sport or the pleasure of the hunt and take trophies etc. and while the animals are considered much less intelligent than humans. Is that the deciding factor that makes hunters not evil(unless you consider them...

Re: Converting a book to a campaign?

Fighters have often been my favorite class for most games, they are the most relatable for me(I think). Not that I'm some want to "fight all the time" kind of person, I think of them(and there are many other varieties) as the consummate professional soldier. Wizards may blow the heck out o...

Re: Read any good books lately?

So glad you mentioned Lovecraft :D I bought the Collected(?) works at Barnes and Noble and had a lot of... fun? reading it. I thought it was a real trip at times. Spoiler(?) I specifically liked his story of wandering of from a cave tour group and finding a primitive man, if you're familiar with tha...
