Okay, I hope I understood the rules correctly. I'm rolling with both methods and then see which one I like the best

Method 1 (7 x 4d6k3, drop lowest roll and lowest total)

Char Gen 1 [4d6k3]=12 [4d6k3]=10 [4d6k3]=12 [4d6k3]=14 [4d6k3]=13 [4d6k3]=8 [4d6k3]=15

Method 2 ( 6 x 3d4)

Char Gen 2 [3d4]=6 [3d4]=6 [3d4]=8 [3d4]=7 [3d4]=9 [3d4]=10

Ok, so first one gives me: 15-14-13-12-12-10

second one: 10-9-8-7-6-6 + (28 points) yet to assign

I have no idea yet on what to play lol so I'll need to think about it, I'll give a look at what the others are playing

Since everyone else is making some sort of spellcaster, I was thinking about a fighter. Would a sylvan elf myrmidon work? Even if she hates being in a closed enviroment, she has to because has been ordered by her employer/ maybe her town chief.

For her stats it would be something like that:

STR 10+7+1(racial) = 18.. no idea how exceptional strenght work, so you will have to guide me
DEX 8+7+1 (racial) = 16
CON 9+7-1 (racial) = 15
INT 7+2 = 9
WIS 6+3 = 9
CHA 6+4-1 (racial)= 9

Advice on multiclassing? I never really got the gist on how it works in 2E

Yeah, a Sylvan Elf Myrmidon will be no problem. Exceptional strength basically works like this: you arrange stats/points so that you have exactly 18, and then roll 1d100 for the degree of exceptional strength.

That being said, since there are so many magic items that increase strength (gauntlets of ogre power, various girdles of giant strength, etc) it's pretty easy to get 18/00 (the highest exceptional strength) in this game fairly cheaply if you want to bulk up other stats as well.

There are some multiclassing guidelines in the rules thread, but the basic gist to multiclassing is that you divide your experience evenly amongst all of your classes. I don't use the 2e racial level restrictions, so that won't hinder level advancement at all.

So for instance if you chose a Fighter/Thief (i see you have high dex) you would have 1 million xp in each class and be a Fighter(12)/Thief(14).

Weapon proficiencies, non weapon proficiencies and saving throws follow whichever class has the best at your current level.
hps are rolled normally for all the classes (max hp at lvl 1), then added together into a huge total and divided by the number of classes:
example the fighter thief above would get
for Fighter(12): 10 (max lvl1) +8d10+9 + any con bonus to hps due for the first 9 levels
for Thief(14): 6 (max lvl1) +9d10+8 +any con bonus to hps due for the first 10 thief levels

Then one would add all that up and divide by 2 for the # of classes

Hmm I see, I think I'll stick to pure singleclass for the first character I don't want things to get too complicated. But if she dies I already saw a multiclass kit I'd like to try: the Spellflincher, it seems really cool.

I didn't think about magical items, I'll take a look.. In case I could try a different elven subrace, since I choose this one because it was the only one that gave a strenght increment

Indeed :)
Although beware, the extra xp requirement of Gray Elves (10%) or Drow (20%) may end up lowering starting level slightly. Although I allow the +10% bonus xp earned for a 16 prime requisite (str for fighters) to count against that.

Hope that isn't too confusing, lol

Clear as mud? Lol

Yes don't worry, I'm about to play a Drow on the new Daos' campaign, so I'm already covered on the intricacies of xp requirements lol

Do you have something where I could browse magical items? I thought I saw a link earlier in the rules topic, but now I cannot find it anymore so maybe I dreamed about it lol

Thanks! In the description of both Gauntlets of Ogre Power and Girdle of Giant Strenght it says they can be combined..I don't understand what does it mean, doesn't the girdle render the gauntlets obsolete? Since it gives you a minimum strenght of 19, as opposed to the the gauntlets that gives you 18/00

Yeah, it's a little strange. The gauntlets only give strength in the 'hands arms and shoulders', so it gives you the bonuses to attacks and such, but the girdle gives the strength everywhere so iit would affect encumberance as well. But you are right, the lowest level girdle would out-class the gloves so not much use to have both.

There is a special case:
when you have both if you also have the Hammer of Thunderbolts you "know it's true name" and it becomes a +5 wep (instead of a paltry +3) and it one-shots giants

Kind of niche.

There may be other instances, but I can't think of them off the top right now
