Del sets out from the Broken Wheel, no sign of the other half of the party that had been scouting outside. She keeps an eye out for anyone shadowing her, or for anyone that looks to be part of the thieve's guild [Wis check]. She passes the square and out the wide front gates of Upper Skald into the partially ruined 'old tower; area to the fore of the city. Back in through the smaller, more modest gate of Lower Skald. It seemed odd for a city to have two entrances and be divided by a wall, but the Old Fortress* ruins are laid out so that it would have once encompassed both gates.

Continuing on she finds herself outside the Wooden Mug, a lodging for common laborers. The smell of wood pulp and sound of the logging and sawmill operations fills the air here.

Del tries to pay attention to her surroundings as she heads for the Wooden Mug.

WHen she gets there, she notices the scents and smiles inwardly,, ahhhh regular hard working people,,, I like that.

SHe opens the door and looks around before heading to the bar.

At some point along the way after arriving in Lower Skald Del notices she is being shadowed once again. It appears to be someone different than the youngster from before, and slightly more practiced at following, but not trying very hard to go unnoticed. Likely it was just the guild keeping tabs on her.

Inside the common area is rough-sawn lumber with a stone fireplace. At this time of day the commons only have a few people about.

As Del approaches the bar, a man in a plain canvas apron is arranging some of the mugs and things stored there. He looks up as she gets closer, a small amount of surprise plain on his face. Bonjour... Puis-je vous aider? he says, in that foreign sing-song language

Del smiles at the man, trying to appear confident.

In a friendly tone she speaks "I am sorry, I do not unserstand what you are saying. I would like to inquire about

a room and some food afterwards, please."

She says this in Elvish and Faerun Common to start with.

The man squints as if having some trouble understanding, but eventually replies in broken Elven. Room? Yes room. Yes food. He scratches his head as if trying to remember how to say more.

[This place seems to cater mostly to locals so it appears he may not speak the trade-language very well.]

Del orders food by making eating signs and then says she'd like a room to sleep in.

She takes a saet from where she has her back to the wall and can see who comes in and out of the Inn.

Unstrapping her Lute , she tunes it and ust starts to slowly play an instrumental song, relaxing and enjoying herself.

The inkeeper seems to understand tne signals and The fare is modest but filling, a stew of beets and other root vegtables. She seems to draw some curiosity from the locals but nobody approaches or bothers her. The inkeep himself delivers the food along with a small brass key with a number 7 on it.
