Pyros does not even notice the looks, as that is the typical reaction to when he finds these items that found their way into his pockets.

At the question about the die, he shrugs his shoulders.

"I will procure some garlic while we are out. I'll head out with you on the tracking, but I'd also like to go see Haldrake."

"We can either see Haldrake en route or you can catch up. Up to you, Pyros," replies Jerry with an involuntary smile. Pyros has that effect on her.

"Should probably let some time pass before heading back to the Inn. Those same patrons may still be there. Let's go tracking and shopping."

So this Haldrake is another one o' these beastmen only bigger than the one we just fought?, Gregor queries. Are we sure about this then?

"No! The opposite. I think Haldrake is hunting them. Or at least an enemy of our enemy. His room is where I found this dagger. He pulls out the silver dagger, and this list of suspected beastmen. He is the evening bartender at the Inn."

"Then there is this whole other problem, of this Vampire..."

The Broken Wheel: Interior: (Karl, Mira, Pyros, Del, Elsa, Jerry, Merrick, Cross, Esker, Iscind, Gregor)

After the redistribution of a couple of kender-found items and the discussion about the trail, Jerry rises ready to continue the search from that point. Merrick nods, Yes, let's go. What kinds of things should we keep an eye out for once we get there?

Pyros explains about Haldrake as well. Jerry begins to set out, Merrick and Elsa prepare to follow.

[Is everyone going on the search?]

[OOC] Gregor will support the lair search to the degree he can but isn't convinced we have enough knowledge to speak with the beastman's coworker. He may be a separate species at odds or coexisting but don't want to talk about killing anyone. He'll pass on revisiting that inn.]

Gregor quickly finishes off the last of his pint and raises to accompany the search.

"Well, Merrick, we're looking for places that people will be resistant to go: dark, or difficult to access or taboo, such as resting places for the dead. Signs of bats, spiders or wolves. Humanoid remains, perhaps. All of these are indicators," answers Jerry.

She looks across the gathered group, "Be warned, impulsive or unwarranted, loud action gets people killed. You've all heard me talk multiple times about how to tackle this form of undead. It's up to you to ensure you are adequately prepared. As someone succinctly pointed out before, I'm not your mother."

"Should we start at the Grand Hall? They might talk to me and if anyone saw anything they might give us some clues?" Mira asks as she snaps out of her thoughts.. "This is alien to me, such thing's don't even exist as far as I know."

"We should wait to see Haldrake, even if he IS on our side." She agrees with the others

Karl listens, agreeing to go with them for protection, hopefully his sword would serve to injure the creature if needed.
" Kid never learned to clear a room. Doors and corners, I told him. Doors and corners."

Iscind

Checks her weaponry, "I am ready to face this thing." Though in truth she liked to study a quarry for a time before striking, time however won't allow her normal precautions.
