The 2E AD&D Homebrew Sandbox world of Genwald is large, ancient, and magical. There are many undiscovered/untamed places. The Sun Kingdom (European style, Late Medieval Human NG Monarchy) is the basic Campaign area, but PCs can end up anywhere.

Bull

Adjusts the new buckler on his arm and draws one of his broad swords. Moving along with the others staying back from the Cat Woman far enough to not bother her stealthiness. And sniffs the air in the room.

light from outside illuminates the entrance, but it grows dimmer farther in until those without infravision cannot see beyond the alcove to the right.

Katten creeps silently forward towards the corner until she can hear goblin voices nearby chattering about something.

Bullock tests the air and finds the entire area smells of recent goblin and worg traffic, mixed with the damp scent of must and limestone.

Ushering the others to join her she halts them just before the cavern opens, unslinging her bow she warns Dran to remain in place.

Bow at the ready, arrow in place she approaches the widened area to her right.

Linar catches up, looks west and south and if all clear moves quietly across to thesouthern wall of the western tunnel. His bow is readied.

As the party enters the cave Findalsip lets his eyes adjust once more to the typical cave conditions. He feels much more comfortable even if it is near a goblin gathering. He pads along beside Katten to aid in spotting potential enemies. He takes active note of the slope, walls, depth, etc...

Praying/healing, beholder riding, griffin flying
Son of a blowgun, and I'm having a hard time holding these Aboleth shoes down! WOO!

Sword drawn, Nocturno stays back, covering the rear of the party, listening for any calls to bring him to the front.

Katten, Linar and Fin creep around the corner to see the source of the noise; a quartet of goblins yammering on about something in their native tongue. A worg stands nearby, mostly uninterested and gnawing at what looks to have been the femur of a humanoid. In the distance beyond the trio see more goblins, though the corner nearby and other rock formations block the bulk of what appears to be a natural chamber that is quite vast.

Suddenly the Worg turns it's snout up and tests the air... Red eyes begin to turn towards the trio...

Can Linar see what armour the goblins appear to be wearing?

Linar spots simple layers of mangy animal hide (primitive hide armor) on the goblins, similar to what most of the tribe in the other caves wore

Katten lets loose her first arrow from the darkness.

Long Bow (Thaco 16) [1d20]=15 dmg [1d6]=4 Hit AC -3 with Goblin Adjust, for 4 damage.

Long Bow (Thaco 16) [1d20]=2 dmg [1d6]=6 (unless they have 10 AC that one misses!

Katten and Linar begin firing towards the small group of goblins. Seeing the action start, Fin begins reciting a holy rite to enhance a trio of sling stones.

Farther behind, the sounds can easily be discerned by the rest of the waiting party. Jordek, unable to see much farther beyond, pauses to light a torch; though he stays behind those with infravision so as not to spoil their vision



[Actions and Initiative!]
[Reminder. For infravision to work you must be outside of the light radius and NOT facing the light source itself. Facing the light, even from outside of the illumination area still spoils infravision for one round]
