Sue was always the best with wepons, but maybe not so attentive in the classroom..

Woody however recalls that the 'Year of Shadows', 1358DR, was the start of the Time of Troubles when the gods Bane and Myrkul sought to steal the Tablets of Fate from the overdeity Ao. The gods were cast out of the planes by Lord Ao and forced to wander Toril as mortals to recover and return the stolen Tablets of Fate. Magic turned to chaos, prayers went unanswered and many deities were destroyed.

What next?

If he wishes Jim may still try and rack his brains for more detail with a moderate History skill check.
Additionally anyone that wishes may try a hard Religion skill check. For differing reasons, Jim, Woody and Sue all have advantage.

With nothing better to do at present time, Jim relaxes and lets his mind wander trying to recall some of the history lessons the monks tried to pound in his head. History(0): [1d20]=4 Seems some things never change. As back when he was younger he soon finds himself mentally reviewing combat sequences rather than focusing on the task at hand.
Religion(3)(adv): [1d20+3]=2+3=5, [1d20+3]=5+3=8
The combat sequences become more intricate and complex as he continues to mentally focus.

Jim had heard that it was the then-mortal Company of the Lynx recovered the Tablets of Fate.

Woody recalls that the Tablets of Fate, made of Divine Stone Essence, held a listing of the Gods and their roles in the balance of Law and Chaos, essentially a contract laid out by its creator.

Sue was once lectured on how, if he ever fell asleep during lectures again, would be ground into dust and powder just like Lord Ao did to the Tablets of Fate after they were returned to him.

Sue is done, unless he can get to see Daisy somehow. Or he can do that in the morning.

Sue heads off to the yawning Portal, and, finding no sign* of the halfling returns and settles down for the night which passes uneventfully.
[Everyone gains the benefits of a Long Rest.]

***
Come morning, the heroes find the halfling, Daisy, breakfasting in the Yawning Portal where they join her and relate their recent exploits.

Does Daisy have anything to add, or clarify?
Like any legends in the local area that could be tied to these tablets?

When Sue asks Dasiy if she can aid clarification she answers, "I know little of the elven spirits other than what you have also related. Hoever, I can say that during the crisis both Bane and Myrkul were slain although Bane later returned. It was Kelemvor, Midnight and Cyric that recovered the Tablets of Fate and returned them to Ao who, to quote the Sages of Candlekeep, 'on grinding them to powder didst unravel the very threads of Realmspace, didst induce the Era of Upheaval, the Second Sundering, thence remaking the Tablets of Fate from the Void, inscribing names and purposes of gods and primordials in a new reality.' Kelemvor, Midnight and Cyric became gods.

"The 'the all-father' is an ancient title confered by gaints on Annam, the leader of their deific pantheon. We've had reports filtering in over the last few months of stone giant and fire giants venturing from their strongholds and making minor assaults on civilisation throughout the north. Contexturalising this, the reference to 'smallfolk' most likley means the entire humanoid civilisation, dwarven, elven, human and other alike.

"The voice from your past, Sue, seems to be a warning about Xananthar, an Eye Tyrant, or ancient beholder.

"Rassalanter is a hamlet along the Long Road to the north of the city.

That's about all I can come up at the moment. Does that help? What will you do next?"

"That certainly helps. You know, my arm has always been stronger than my head."
He rubs his forehead.
"You can remember all that Woody?"
He will enjoy a quick breakfast and ale with her, and pay for her meal on the way out.

You sourced a Potion of Disguise from Weirdbottle's Concoction to help you meet with the Yellow Canary (done).
From meeting with the Yellow Canary you gleaned that the next sewer rendevous is in seven days' time (including today).

The deal you made at Weirdbottle's Concoctions that you would deliver some potions (done) and that within a tenday (including today, six days remain) you would deliver some arcane ingrediants back to the shop.
The ingrediants were the Radiance of a Celestial, the Cloak of a Cultist, and Tears of a Murderer.
  • If you find and deliver one ingrediant then you must give the tip (from the Lady in the Purple Cloak) to the proprietor, Skeemo.
For two back, you keep the tip and you may buy one of the shop's standard potions* for half price.
All three back, you keep the tip and may choose one of the potions* to keep for free.
======
Skeemo's Standard Potion List
Potion of Healing 50 gp,
Potion of greater healing 250 gp
Potion of clairvoyance 250 gp
Potion of growth 125 gp
Potion of invulnerability 250 gp

As Sue's about to exit the Yawning Portal, the beefy barman calls out in a remarkably authoritative voice, one suitable for a top class sergeant-major, "Hold! Yes, you, Sue! She wants a word." The fellow is pointing back at Daisy who's only a third of the way to the main doorway.

***
Ushering Sue back into the warded and curtained booth, Daisy says, "I'm sorry to inconvenience you, stopping you like that, but I've been given some disturbing news. It seems there's a necomancer stealing bones from the City of the Dead and animating them as skeletons. The night watchman has asked for help, and Those Who Harp are the only ones who have listened. Please talk to him at your earliest convenience."
