Re: Chapter 3 - Fresh Air
"How many tears we talking? We might need a bag of onions. We can kill two birds with one stone on that one."
So Jim put down 25.
Sue grabs his pouch, while looking at the prices.

"Enough to pour from one vial to another."

Arcana check: [1d20+7] = 5+7 = 12
Woody puts down two suns and 5 Dragons = 25GP. "Please accept my apologies for not being more discrete."
"Sue, if think the potion of invulnerability would be a good purchase for you."

After he'd kicked everyone else out of the shop Skeemo cast Detect Magic and then went walkabout around the shop.counterkid wrote:Arcana check: [1d20+7] = 5+7 = 12...

Who, if anyone, paid the 75 dragons (ps) for the potion that you came here for?
(If not already done, this needs to be taken care of.)
Assuming that is done, we're then onto whether or not anyone wants to buy any of the standard potions (at 20% discount).
Jim put up to 20 dragons down (of which 10 were taken by Skeemo, essentially a bribe to allow all of you to remain). He may still have the balance of 10 (from the 20) remaining on the counter. For now let's assume that is the case.
Sue has put 25 dragons on the counter, as has Woody. So that makes up to 60 dragons on the counter.
Is this going towards buying, for example, a potion of healing @ 40 dragons? Or Invulnerability @ 200 dragons?

Re: Chapter 3 - Fresh Air
For the potion we came for Woody put down 25 dragons, sue put down 25 dragons and Jim put down 10, and 10 for the bribe. I'm assuming Jim will put down 5 more and Woody will put in 10 more.
Woody is not buying any other potions.

Re: Chapter 3 - Fresh Air
Sue watches Woody count out 25.
He then counts out 25. He looks for Jim's 10 but realizes that went with the words he was saying covering for Woody.
"Jimbo, you got 25 more of those gold coins?"
After he finishes counting.
"How would one capture the radiance of a celestial? And, which type of cultist?"
After the answer.
"Woody, 200 Dragons is far out of my reach at this point."(He has 103) He lifts up his tunic or other cloth to reveal his shiny new plate.
"I spent a fortune on this. And with present company included I'm sure. Going into debt is never a good idea." He smiles a toothy grin at the shop keep again. This time meaning to be menacing.

Re: Chapter 3 - Fresh Air
Jim looks at Sue with an expression of impatience and curiosity.
He unloads 250 shards on the counter.
"This seems like a better choice, as long as it is ok with you." He looks to the gnome.

Re: Chapter 3 - Fresh Air
Skeemo accepts Woody's twenty five dragons and the same from Sue, adding unhelpfully, "Any way that one can. Any type of cultist."
He nods blandly and without counting accepts the pile of coins from Jim. "It will be ready at the agreed time."

Re: Chapter 3 - Fresh Air
"Do we need to agree upon an item now? In our travels we may come across more than one. Why limit the possibilities?"
Re: Chapter 3 - Fresh Air
"Think you can?" Skeemo thinks for several moments. "OK. So within the tenday. You bring me one back and the tip is mine. Two back, you keep the tip and you can have one of these potions for half price. All three back, tip's yours and you can choose one of these potions to keep for free. How's that sound?"
Re: Chapter 3 - Fresh Air
"Sounds like we are getting a free potion!" Sue elbows Jim.

If potion buying is finished, does anyone want to do anything else before seven bells?
Otherwise the potion can be collected from Weirdbottle's Concoctions as arranged.

Re: Chapter 3 - Fresh Air
Sue will not be purchasing any. He may suggest Jim purchase some healing or great healing potions, as he seems to block a lot of damage with his torso.
Re: Chapter 3 - Fresh Air
Sure, no problem. Jim may purchase any of the listed potions at the listed price less 20%.

A perusal of stalls in the open air market on Bazaar Street shows a single onion costs one neb whereas a sack of onions costs nine shards. [How many in a sack? "Lots, mate! A sackful! Ha!" Actually a hundred or so; weighs about fifty pounds.]

If there's nothing else that Sue, Woody or Jim wish to do in between then we can move along to seven bells when the potion is ready.

Re: Chapter 3 - Fresh Air
At this point I can't think of anything else we would want to purchase. I think we can move on.
