Act 2 Scene 5: "Cavern of the Crown of Souls" (Game Thread)

[Jenara]

Mira and Pyros continue their game, their luck is evenly matched as they while away the hours.

"She was VERY powerful, I suppose its possible. I want to get out of here as soon as possible." She kneels by the Halfling, "I want you to stay from the front, let the fighters do their, we watch each others backs and keep everyone alive ok?" Trying not to show how concerned she is Mira stands once more. "Are we ready? Warriors to the Front, Elsa and I will cover the rear."

[Nocturno]

During the nap after the dice game, Pyros practices using his Hoopak as a makeshift crutch.

After replenishing her spells, Jerry pipes up, "Sorry to keep you all waiting. Good to go here."

While the group are moving along she works her way through them, in ones and twos, testing to see who might be capable and amenable to keeping and eye open for herbs that she needs replacing. She shows a couple of different herbs* to each that seems promising.

"So, are we ready? Pyros, I know you'll want to be in front, but could you stay with me? I don't want to feel like I did again, and I think if you stay with me, and Elsa of course, I'd feel a lot better, besides I BET you've seen more of Krynn than I have." She asks, offering him a hand.

"Can I suggest that the warriors take the lead? Elsa and I will take the rear with Pyros and the mages in the middle?" Mira suggests.

Before we get too far, Artanis says, approaching Pytor. The ranger says a quiet prayer and lays a hand on the still wounded fighter. A large bruise and laceration on the gypsy-man's shoulder closes up and the coloring improves. The blacksmith works his shoulder, testing the joint. Remind me to keep you guys around for a while. He says with a broad grin.

Pyros tests out his hoopak, and while it is much too tall to place under his arm like a crutch, he finds he can balance easily if holding it in both hands and hopping along. Elsa moves near the bard as they prepare to leave and Adrestia positions herself near the only exit to the room; where her brother soon joins her.

While the others rest and recuperate, Adran will stand watch and assist in any way he can.....

Pyros will start attempting to do some flips or extra long skips while moving with Mira.

Adrestia lights her lantern and holds it high in one hand to see into the dark passage, since the eerie glow from the misty pit illuminates only the main chamber. As the group lines up, she leads the way back. Well, at least the black mist is gone. she calls back to the others as she rounds the first corner, But there is something in the floor...

In the center of the area where the black mist had been, the hilt of a sword sticks up as if it had been stabbed into the very stone with a tremendous amount of force. Only a handspan of the blade is visible between the hilt and the floor, yet around this portion itself a woven bracelet sized ring of long thorns is secured. It appears impossible to remove the bracelet without retrieving the sword.

Adrestia, Artanis and Pytor are able to identify plants, they will keep a lookout for Jerry when in the forest since nothing grows in the canyon/caves

Pyros makes a beeline for the sword. Hippity hop, hippity hop.

"That dear Pyros is my Fathers Blade." Karl hesitates for but a moment, the excitement of finding his Fathers Blade once more clouding his judgement, "I will remove it." switching the silvered sword to his left hand he grasps the ancient hilt with his sword hand.

(I rolled a wisdom check and he failed)

"Karl don't!" Mira calls, probably too late.
