Act 2 Scene 5: "Cavern of the Crown of Souls" (Game Thread)

"Pyros, would you be as kind as to loan me a few items?" The Knight asks, pondering the situation, "You had metal spikes, and some chain did you not? I wonder, if we used the spikes to hold the chain to the roof above us, and run the rope through the hoops, that should work? Should it not?" He asks the smarter members of the group. "Does anyone have a hammer?"

[Nocturno]

Pyros' eyes fly open in thought. Sorting through his pockets.

Producing:
manacles (hands only) w/o key in poor condition,
3 links of iron chain (3" total)
tiny 4oz hammer head
5 iron nails (1.5" long)

"At your disposal!"

"No hammer here, sorry," replies Jerry as Pyros sorts through his infinite-seeming pockets.

Adran adds in I don't have a hammer, but if all else fails, I could cast a web spell - then we could cut two slits in it and slide a piece of cloth between the two slits before inserting the rope.....that way we could have a anchor that was directly above the sword.

Pytor has one, but how will you get to the ceiling to hammer a spike in? she nudges her brother who seems lesd than enthused to help.

Whilst watching the strong warriors figure out who's going to pull the sword from the stone Jerry gives Merrick's arm a meaningful squeeze and whispers, "Any thoughts on what I mentioned earlier."

[Nocturno]

Pyros looks for a way to climb up, but then realizes... he no longer has a leg up in that department.

[Jerrard]

"I appreciate the effort to regain my blade, I am truly humbled." Approaching Pytor with the spikes, and chain in hand, he stands motionless for a moment. "You do not like me, that I can tell, I have due to my position and my beliefs encountered many times. Yet, if I judge correctly you do not trust me not because of what I stand for, how could you? You do not know my Order. Thus you judge me for the acts of others?" He asks glancing at the blade.

"I have a Code of Honour, one I will not break, judge me by that, and my actions. Have I done aught to put you or the others in danger? Have I done my best to help you all. I ask you this one thing, lend me your hammer, and assist.." He glances around, realising the only one light enough to be raised up in the warriors arms is the redheaded Bard. "Assist Lady Mira in trying my plan?"

[Jenara]

MIra nods at the Knights well spoken words, the tension between the two warriors was evident for all to see.

"Personally, and don't take this the wrong way, but I'd lift Pyros he's lighter and they ARE his spikes."

[Nocturno]

"I've be scolded about mentioning a lady's weight before. But this time I must be lighter." He points at his basically missing leg.

"I'll even put down the pouches."

[Jenara]

"Well put Pyros, well put indeed." She doesnt mention Elsa, knowing the Cleric was weighed down with that heavy arnor, a fact Karl discovered recently.

Pytor stares flatly as the Knight delivers his defense, muttering only the words So far... when others are watching... in response to the questions about helping honorably. Begrudgingly Pytor hands the hammer to Pyros. Elsa gives the Kender a concerned look, but the gypsy man moves to help. Alright, ready for another piggy-back ride? he grins. Once Pyros is ready, (possibly after divesting some pouches) Pytor will help lift him up and steady him closer to the ceiling. A short span remains that Pyros will still have to climb. Don't worry about falling, I've got you.

Pytor raises the intrepid Kender up so that he can grasp the wall; holding on until he gets a good grip. Pyros hangs by his fingers and the toes of one foot, ready to move up for the next foothold. Shifting his weight, he lets go with one hand and instinctually pushes with... the wrong leg. Still not used to the new condition, he tries several times to boost himself up for a better grip, unable to make any progress.
