"Well that is disappointing. Are you sure you didn't miss anything on these walls?"
Is there a penalty or bonus to doubling over others work?

[no penalty or bonus, just another chance to find it]

Galan isn't sure why he was ignored, so he emphasis Elidyr name while asking, "*Elidyr*, ahm... Care that the scouts will poke the 'stew' with a long pole?" after a momnet he adds, "And be prepared to fight mummies."

Elidyr looks at Galan. You seem irritated... We can ask the scouts if they want to test the contents of the vats with their poles. But since you didn't make it clear who you were talking to before, I didn't expect it was me. he replies, politely. Looking to the others he relays Galans question

"Let's do that first, be switching spots for searching." Van backs out of the room.

"I was coughing thinking of the ancient meat that might be rotting, or not rotting, in these jars... That's all." But hearing Van he waits for the search to end before expecting someone to poke at the jars.

Alright, i'll give it a whirl, Bryce mutters, but you'd better stick be back together if something happens, Van. Or ol' mother Mondoon will nag you to your dying day for letting her favorite get got! He grins, which one first?

Van draws his weapon and squares his shield.

"Let's get this over with. If we don't find anything here, we will have to deal with the gas." He takes a cursory look around the room while Bryce stirs the pot.

"Start with the left." Galan suggests knowingly, but when Faladair looks at him and raises an eyebrow, he lifts his hands and mouthes quietly, "The right???"

Bryce takes the 10 ft wooden pole and taps the surface of the muddy brown liquid, which ripples. Gradually he prods if farther and farther intil the pole reaches the bottom of the vat... nothing happens

Zafron is getting nervous. "What's going on over there?" He puts his sword away and come to see what his brother is up too.

"It seems these vats might have something to do with mummifying process... So far we got no solid clues from searching the room, and now we thought to check the contents of the vats." Galan explains and points to the middle vat. "Next one?" he suggests/asks politely...

Bryce nods and inserts the pole carefully as he did previously. When he reaches the bottom, he sweeps the end around in the liquid and a a small grin crosses his face. Seems there is some little trinket hiding in the bottom of this one, boys. Wonder what that could be.

Bryce withdraws the pole and the end is obviously changed. A thin plume of smoke streams off of the submerged end and the wood has been cleared of all surface color, and in-fact appears to be significantly thinner than the rest of the previously straight sided pole. Bryce's eyes go wide and he chuckles. Just like Maisie's Brasshorn's stew! Heh... good for etching stone but I wouldn't eat any.
