GG nods back to Flatbelly, pointing with his rapier, flicking really, to indicate that they should cover different flanks.
He calls, "Lorbin! What's the protocol? Hold position? Or evacuate? I recommend the latter."

In a flurry of activity the guards and wards make the devices disappear as fast Fimlyn put them down.

As GG announces the water rising, a Sea Elf breaks into the room.

"They almost broke through gentlemen, but rest assured our defenses held against the physical assault." She will look at the confused guards. "Don't worry boys, your escorts will return shortly.
We are reopening our connection to the planes as fast as we can."


Just as she finishes teasing the guards the entire building is rocked by an EXPLOSION! Fine dust and small rubble filter down from the ceiling and walls.

From out in the main altar room loud cascading sounds of stone and tile CRASHING down fill the air. Clouds of dust roil into the room from the doorway.

Just as the sounds of rubble falling subside, you then hear what sounds like something landing on the rubble. To anyone who understands Dwarvish, they will hear a language similar, but much more primitive, and harsh. It's impossible to tell how many at this point.

"Sounds like primitive dwarvish." Flatbelly says and readies his weapon looking at the elven woman. "Maybe its a different tribe that lives beneath the city." he says recalling the goblins that are using the city waste to improve their own technology.

Adrik will make sure Yongoth is behind him. "Say behind me.. Tornak help me project Yongoth. Tornak get that crossbow prepared and get some distance."

Standing beside Lunmumi with his crossbow in hand, Tornak directs a confused look Adrik's direction and then curtly addresses Yongoth. "Prepare yourself dwarf, it looks like we will need to protect the young master."

If there is time Tornak will will snarl "Fimlyn! Is there another way out?"

Flatbelly will look for a narrow passage that can be a bottleneck for attackers. If he finds and there is no way out he will tell Lorbin and GG that using spells he can protect such spot a bit better.

Flatbelly will also note he can recognize at at least 4 voices, he can't understand it, but it does sound aggressive.

Lorbin raises his eyebrow at the Half-Elf. "A moment of patience will pay off in spades in the end. I think you will all find our young lads to be less defensless as you may have been led to believe."

As if on queue Foggy will move 15 feet to the West, you get the impression that if you didn't know where he went, you would not be able to pick him out of the shadows.

Lunmumi jumps up on the table pulls out his lute, and starts to strum. Noting Renwick and how he seems to be growing more aggitated by the second he will focus on him and sing a song of a pleasant breeze and cool waters. (Bardic Inspiration for Renwick)

Renwick will rush past the other guards, and through the two Clerics.

As he gets past the Sea Elf, 6 large broken pieces of rubble come flying through the doorway.

The four guards who were plugging the door are pushed to the sides into the pools of water, clearly unconscious. Luckily being Tritons, they can breathe underwater, so they are OK for now.

If there's somewhere to hide between the group and the entranceway then GG will do so, hoping to gain the drop on an entering foe.
