[not quite so highly polished as that. It does appear to be high quality silver, so possibly could be polished to such a shine with a substabtial amount of effort.[

Linar waits to see which way the decision will be made.

======
Would a dozen (appropriate) cantrips be good enough to polish the bowl up to be mirror-like

====
half dozen successful cantrips could probably do it since the bowl is relatively smooth inside

Katten holds the bowl close to her small chest protectively, "I find." She states firmly.

Jordek looks quizzically at the feline lady when he hears the firmness in her claim but addresses her earlier comment. "Do you have a plan to kill the stone creature? Your friend has been turned to stone by this creature we need good ideas that work so as not to end up the same as your friend. I mean no offense by this but is your friend currently in danger as they are? Perhaps, if we cannot find a way to deal with this creature with minimal risk to ourselves, we can seek answers to this problem and help get these people home at the same time."

OOC - If I am correct, the reflection question by Katten and the ensuing answer from the elves happened while they (elves and Katten) were walking back to the camp so Jordek has no knowledge of shiny reflection killing things.

[It's true that the question was asked then, but it is not beyond the pale that others would think of it as well, since they know Dillosel was petrified by a creature]

"If it's by gaze then perhaps the bowl dould be used to turn that back on the beast. I can try to polish* it up like a mirror, if you permit me," proposes Linar.

*Use of cantrips and the crafting skill.

"You think this might save them?" She asks Linar in Elven, "Then you try."

"I think so," answers Linar hesitantly. "It's worth trying. And..thank you..for your trust."

Linar sets about polishing up the bowl.

Linar begins to polish the bowl [need 6 successful cantrips. you can roll and post them on your private thread all together.]

The former captives set about resting now that the others have returned. though it is only mid afternoon, the weariness of their ordeal has them desperate for peaceful rest.

Does the party want to accomplish anything else this game day? Otherwise i'll close this one and award xp

Unless the group wants to sort out escorting, no.

It looks escorting may split the party again.

Nocturno will try to come up with a compromise of helping the petrified folks after the others are safe at home. But he is no diplomat.

With his clerical training would have know of a what spells are necessary to cure petrification?

[As far as he knows, basically only Stone to Flesh would work. It is a 6th level spell (attainable at lvl 11)]

When an opening presents itself.

"I only know of one spell that will help our friend. But it is far out of reach for my abilities. Perhaps we can escort the hostages home, and employ a high level cleric to accompany us back, or to create a scroll I can read to cast the spell to return the stone to flesh."

"It is powerful, creature is a beast." She sighs, her eyes on the direction of the cave. "I should not have left her."

Nothing else here.
