Act 1, Scene 4: "Eroding the Wetrocks" (Main Game Thread)

The 2E AD&D Homebrew Sandbox world of Genwald is large, ancient, and magical. There are many undiscovered/untamed places. The Sun Kingdom (European style, Late Medieval Human NG Monarchy) is the basic Campaign area, but PCs can end up anywhere.

Jordek will continue to hold the torch high from the back and keep an eye on the combatants trying to determine when his services as a healer might be needed.

Nocturno cuts at his foes in futility, failing to gain any ground but avoiding the falling axes as they seek his flesh. Katten makes short work of the already injured goblin before her, cutting it down with a single stroke. She quickly hops over the dead, moving to meet the leader Krok blade to blade.

Elden finally scrambles up to the top and circles around behind one of the guardsmen. His attack is ill-timed, and he fails to make contact. A hail of arrow assaults one of the guards fighting the Elven cleric, but the shafts all fall askew.

Moving to engage what she assumed was the leader Katten swings her blade, this time with no words, this creature should be put down, and quickly.

[Round 5]

The enraged fighter-cleric's blade finally finds goblin flesh as it slashes cleanly through the guard's rusty chainmail and half-way into its chest. Katten raises her longsword against the still-battered leader of the band. Like any skilled hunter, she finds the opening and a rictus, dying snarl is all the retort her prey can muster as the life drains from his eyes.

Elden strikes a heady blow to the back of the last guard, staggering it into the wall. The goblin slashes out savagely with its axe, the blade narrowly missing the human fighter. Down below, Linar watches patiently for any opening. The glint of mail against the wall and a green head appear beneath Nocturno's upraised arm. In an instant, the arrow streaks upwards through the short space. With a wet splok! the broadhead shaft buries itself to the fletchings in the final goblin's throat. Crumpling like a wet sack, the creature tumbles down the rocky slope to crash to the stony cavern floor below

Nocturno follows at the end making sure to stay behind the torch light, and look back to hopefully use his infravision.

The current threat taken care of, Jordek offers healing spells to those that look injured. Once the group moves on, he follows with the torch keeping a good distance between him and the scouts.

[SQL, Katten has taken about 7 damage, nocturno about 3. everyone else seems in pretty good shape (only 1 or 2 hp missing at most)
Who would he like to heal? It can go into effect before Katten goes ahead]


Katten slinks forward to scout while linar searches for and finds 9 serviceable arrows. (how many will he keep?) The rest of the group crests the slope, Dellinanth and Indendien helping Dran make his way up.


The ranger creeps quietly forward to the entry room. Once again she finds it full of goblins, although new. Several of the creatures are sleeping still, or preoccupied. Only one of the fools is paying any attention... She hears the party behind her as it begins to make its way forward.

The rest of the party is off to the East, but coming nearer

The one with the red circle is on alert. The two with yellow circles are awake but distracted. The other 4 are asleep :/ they rolled shit.
