"Isaril, what additional supplies do you think we should bring with us?"

Val will look of a hand axe for fire wood.

Val will gather any supplies Isaril suggest.

Several days earlier:
Val visits the keep and they willingly search for any armour that will fit Val but to no avail. However, when Unbarcatches on to what Val wants he forwns and says, What? You forget I am of the Temple of Artificers, Workers of Metal Without Compare? Mountain men have short memories!" He laughs fit to burst at Val's face and adds, "Feed me metal, attend often for fittings and, with Moradin's blessing, I shall make you what you need!"

***
Today:
Val checks on Isaril as the druid settles in at his favoured watchtower. In response to the big man's query he answers, "Just yourselves, Val, and a sense of what is needed for agreement to be reached." Isaril eyes the axe. "There's likely to be enough dead wood for camping. But you might be best not to damage living wood." He doesn't actually say the forest will be watching.

The wish list Vic compiles is substantial but during breakfast elminates the more frivolous:
1. Wood to finish rebuilding the village, watch tower and bridge to the keep.
2. Food for the short term until the village can get back on its feet.
3. Reinforecments (guards) for the keep, towers & patrols.
4. Farm livestock: pigs, chickens, goats and a supply of cerial seed and vegetables for the trampled fields.
5. Stone and stone workers to repair the inn and the keep.
6. Ongoing supply of wood to float downriver for the Nandar business.

After breakfast the villagers offer Val foodstuffs for the journey from their scarce supply.

An hour or so breakfast Unbar appears, sleeves rolled up and an enormous grin parting his beard. "Hey, Val! it's ready! Come and try this on!" The plate armour produced by Unbar in astonishingly short time fits like a glove. Perhaps a little too snug in some places but is acceptable with some adjustment. "And I'm sure you'll be wanting to make a sizeable donation to the temple when next we go through the city!"

What next?

Luka

Continues making nails and any other metal items the town needs for the down time. Spending a few hours a night using the woodcarvers tools to make a long bow and more arrows if he can find the wood.

After gathering Luka and Vic, Val finds Isaril and starts walking fast out of town in the direction Isaril suggested.

"Let's get moving and cover enough ground before it gets dark."

Isaril leads whoever is accompanying him and leads them through the woods at a fairly brisk pace and continues until darkness has fallen, setting camp a short walk from a tiny spring.
The night passes uneventfully.

The druid is up with the first rays of the sun and rouses everyone. The spring water is pure and refreshing, and waterskins can readily be filled. "We eat on the move", says Isaril, and heads out at the same brisk pace as the previous day.

Sorry!! I have been on and off the forums, but have neglected this post. Do you want me to take over Unbar? I can also take over Jim in the other game.

This list is basically making sure they are good with what he will offer the Elves/Elders
=========================================================================
Vic will make sure the townies understand there will be compromise. He will throw a few of the frivolous items in at the start to make negotiations seem like they are moving so he has something easy to throw away.
If I put Elders in a place where "just Elves" would take part, assume that is what I mean
Bold - What the town is requesting Italic - What they hope will compensate for what they are asking for

1. Functioning Town - Rebuild the village, watch tower and bridge to the keep - Planting trees in place where they have already harvested, and will continue to replant in the places they do harvest. - Preferably with the guidance of the Elders as to help make them grow the strongest.

2. Food for short term as they rebuild - Share in future harvests, and hunting, bi-annual feasts with Elders who wish to attend

3. Reinforcements for Protection - Protection of the Area after rebuilding and teaching the Elders of the ways of the town if they wish to know more about the life

4. Livestock and seed - Future share of harvests, sharing of techniques

5. Stone and stone workers to repair the inn and the keep. - Once reestablished help the Elders with any repairs or upkeep of the area

6. Ongoing supply of wood to float downriver for the Nandar business. - Guided Logging, harvest and replanting

7. As a bonus to all Vic will throw in the cleansing of the area of the recent Oricish vermin(This should be presented when/if the negotiations are not going well, or near the end if the elders seem agreeable to the rest of the requests.)

He will always be respectful and reverent as necessary. Understanding he is asking for quite a bit for the town, but hopes he can bring a peaceful agreement back to town.
==================================================================================================================
Vic stretches and yawns on that first day.
"I was starting to go soft sleeping in a bed so much. This lumpy ground is so much better!"
He has a pull of the fresh water, and washes his hands and face.
Consitution(2)Athletics(0): [1d20+2]=2+2=4
===============================================
And the great rolls for Vic just keep on coming....

Luka and Unbar

Meet and follow the group as the negotiation are set in motion. Luka not saying much as he is also an Elf and does not wish to get in between the Elves and these people.

Unbar will negotiate for what the people need Supporting Vic and the needs requested.
