We found no crossbows at all, hence the frantic search

It was the rogues who shot. So we can go back a bit in time upstairs.

You folks also have 2 mundane looking light crossbows.

So I realize why I was so confused now, and why you all thought there were more Drow present.

The rogues who were flanking Rayman, should have had the crossbows.

If you want to change anything after finding and talking to the Dwarf please go ahead.

And post anything you would like to do differently.

so i understand:
-no shots were fired after the fighting downstairs
-2 rogues were killed w crossbows
-shots from the dark came from no more than 2 directions at a time
-we have no awareness of one of the Drow escaping, all are accounted for to our knowledge

If all of the above are true, Renwick will tell the dwarf it is done. but he will still want to peek in a few boxes to see if the drow were protecting anything other than just what is apparently an entrance to a place farther underground

Right. Two shots from the stair direction hit the walls.

Then footsteps down the corridor. The top one that led to the rotten shelf room.

Then bolts at Renwick who went to check it out. But he didn't see where from.

Sorceror and Barb chased party into the south. Rogues used secret door at top to almost dump GG down the hole. Then surrounded Rayman. All dispatched no runners.

But you do have a stocked warehouse. And a deep dark hole in the basement.

It was the first thing noticed when they opened the front door. It also permeates the entire first floor, ending when your head leaves the area of the first floor, up or down.
