Re: Out of Character Discussion - C&S
Yes advantage.
From the Trolls current opponents and position you would need to leave the room to flank him since he is in the doorway at the moment.
He goes before you, so if the opportunity arises, GG will be abel to take advantage.

Dont want to leave the room.
Didnt realise that was a door! I thought he'd come in from the south and then jumped across to the west

Re: Out of Character Discussion - C&S
Ah sorry. That is the door you all entered from, via the Altar room.
Re: Out of Character Discussion - C&S
Does the cloud of daggers have any more effect now or all monsters avoid it?
If it has no effect Flatbelly with stop concentrate on it and cast scorching ray trying to catch Manticore 1 and if possible hit the troll above the fallen guards without harming them farther.

Prancing nimbly and spinning around in the limited space the Blurred GG tries to stab the troll with a Green Flame Blade.
======
Green Flame Blade [1d20+7] = 14+7 = 21, [2d8+4] = 10+4 = 14
GG Green flame blade advantage [1d20+7] = 10+7 = 17

Re: Out of Character Discussion - C&S
You can cast non concentration spells while concentrating.
Unless they enter the space it won't do damage.
Scorching Ray is directed beams of fire, no friendly fire possibly on this one.
3 beams, 3 hit rolls, 3 damage rolls.

Can you repost this in the main thread?Chris1234 wrote:Prancing nimbly and spinning around in the limited space the Blurred GG tries to stab the troll with a Green Flame Blade.

Also in the future can you roll the d8s separately so I can see the fire and the physical damges?
Doesn't matter here but may for resistance creatures.

Thought I had. Opps.

OK, now done. Thanks.
Wouldn't let me delete in here. Feel free if you want to tidy up, including this one..

Yeah, but doesn't the troll much taller than the unconscious guards? can the beam be directed upwards?Nocturno wrote:You can cast non concentration spells while concentrating.

Re: Out of Character Discussion - C&S
The unconscious guards are floating in the water below the Trolls feet.
Being taller means you could be shooting him in the head with the normal size guards standing around him.
He's large, and I found that Trolls are around 9ft tall. So even if a human was standing there up to 6ft tall, you'd have 3ft of Troll to shoot at.
And shooting into melee in 5e is MUCH more lenient than 2E.
If someone was directly between you and your target, and they were the same size, I would give them the +2 AC from cover.
I think disadvantage is too much of a penalty for ranged folks.
If the other combatants are not directly in your LOS to your target there is no penalty in 5E.

Great.
So the first two rays are for the Manticore and the last for the Troll.

Can you roll the Weapon and fire damage separately for future green flame blade, please.
Re: Out of Character Discussion - C&S
I forgot, sorry. GG This is pierce dam [1d6] = 6, so the troll recieves 10 pierce and 1 magical fire damage.Nocturno wrote:Can you roll the Weapon and fire damage separately for future green flame blade, please.
Re: Out of Character Discussion - C&S
Not sure why GG would be saying anything like that. Rayman didn't say anything out loud, even if you could see his face not sure how you'd know he is thinking about you.
Anyway off to post another.

Was trying to inform the other player of the mistaken identity of who'd been damaged. But ok, I'll get rid.
