S6 by Monte Cook from 1995. Designed for 2e. IMHO this one is the tougher of the two, but not by much.

ok, so lvl 19 dwarf thief/troubleshooter

wp: 2+4(levels)
nwp: 3+4(int)+4(levels)
languages: Dwarven + 4 more

thief skills: base+race+dex+points - armor penalty
60+18*30 = 540 pts
you can increase a stat over 100% to offset armor penalty, but can only benefit from 95% on any one

i.e. studded leather gives -20 to hide skill, so you beef up to 120% on HS. 120-20=2=100, but you still only get 95%

magic items, mundane gear,

free bag of holding:
wt 15 lbs
capacity 500 lbs
volume 70 lbs

was looking at the magical items and I have a question about the short sword of backstabbing. It says when a thief makes a backstab attempt with this short sword, it allows him to attack as if four levels higher than his actual experience level, with corresponding improvements in THAC0, attack rolls, and damage multiplier on a successful hit. My character is lvl 19... I know damage multiplier is already capped at that level but does the THACO and attack rolls cap at level 20 for a total gain of 1 lvl of improvements?

yeah, those cap at lvl 20. unfortunatley it is less benefit to somekne so high level, but it is still a +2 weapon for 700xp instead of 1k ;)

the xp cost was what got my interest in it originally :)

Another question or two
Are dwarves small demihumans? Wondering due to Longtooth dagger and how it works with small demihumans.
I could not find a dagger of returning in the complete book of magical items. I know the darn things exist, do they exist in your dungeon setting (are PC's allowed to have one through the magic item xp buy in?)

dwarves are typically medium creaturesm though some subspecies are small. basically the cutoff is 4' tall. they all have a movement of 6, however (same as gnomes and halflings). if the dwarf is below 4' tall he is considered small

i have allowed daggers of returning, 300xp seems fair. usually there is a command word or concentration to cause it to return.

Cutoff is 4 feet. My wee dwarf is 48 inches - exactly 4 feet... Does the longtooth dagger behave as a short sword for him or not??
short sword +2 while while light and handy as a dagger for 300xp would be awesome... your call

lol, 4' exactly counts as small. 4'+ is med so youre goof to go :)
(unless he wears platform shoes.. kidding! ^_^ )

Squirelly has been having some uh aggro for his time, He asked me to help him finish this up.

5. Elven Fighter/Mage (5/11)
Str/Dex/Con/Int/Wis/Cha: 17/15/15/18/12/14
Items: +1 Elven chain, +3 shield, +2 short sword, scroll (Mage: burning hands, Disintegrate, Dispel Magic)
WP: 4+1=5
NWP: 4+3+7=14
