Quick question. Is Tabbi half in/out the illusion? From what I read I am conflicted as to whether Bryce thinks she has passed through and is therefore awaiting her reply to his query or if she is sitting half way through the illusion so he would still be able to see part of her.

She is kind of half in half out. Imagine the illusion is an infinitely thin plane. It would look like passing through the surface of an opaque pool of liquid; part of her is visible and part of her is beyond the layer of illusion (but no ripples). She is perfectly able of crossing to either side, and communicating to anyone from either side. The illusion is visual only in nature and neither blocks nor produces any kind of sound or passage.

Am I able to use another Cure Mod Wounds on Bryce? Or is it 2e that doesn't let you heal on a wound more than once?

In those couple minutes, I would have time to cast those spells on Van, Sorril and Bryce yes?

1 round per casting. only restriction on individual wounds is for nwp healing proficiency. I neglected to include van's healing so i'll do that now

But that would take a minute before. So maybe depending on how lenient you are being lol.

Or that "couple of minutes" could be a couple Cure Mod Wound spells.

This is what I think.
We went through thearch to arrive in the great hall.
It think we went through the black illusion circle opening, which I think is but night's good color in the riddle. Night equals black to me.
I don't know what If shades of red stand for blood the wise will not need sacrifice means. I think it has something to do with the altar. It might mean we don't need to sacrifice a person or animal on the altar. We might need to sacrifice a magical metal item on the altar. It also seems the altar is very dangerous and it might be a way of killing us.
What does aught but a loop of magical metal and your well on your way, mean? What is magical metal? A magical sword, magical metal weapon, magical metal armor, a magical ring. This wording comes after the words not need sacrifice in the riddle.

I think we are in the right room at the moment in order to proceed with the riddle, but I'm not sure what we do next. Since the riddle doesn't say anything about any other archways, I think we should avoid it.

We could try to put a magical item on the altar or we can try to put a coin in the slot or something else that fits. The slot in the riddle might be a reference to a loop of magical metal. Maybe the slot is magical and turns coins to magic. Maybe we need to put a magical ring in the slot as Tristen said the following: "a coin, even a very thick one, would fit in the slot, yes. Or another similarly sized flat round object]". What is a flat round object?

It's also possible we need to go back to the great hall and find some type of key or flat object that fits into the slot. If this place is trapped all over the place, we are probably missing secret doors everywhere also. We might have missed a few secret doors that would provide the items we need to proceed.

Looking at my item list Tabbi does have a ring of protection +1 in her possession. What round or flat magical items do others have on their characters?

Interesting. I believe you are right. Also in regards that we might have missed secret rooms. And the gargoyle room might have been important. Assuming some players don't come with magical rings we might have found one in the dungeon. Maybe in the other boxes of the pews here? Maybe with the skeleton?
