Tomb of Horrors OOC:

The (Original!) Tomb of Horrors!!!
S1 by the great Gygax 1978. Everything adapted to 2e. This is NOT the Return to ToH written for 2e

Labyrinth of Madness!!! Previously Concluded (by TPK)
S6 by Monte Cook from 1995. Designed for 2e. IMHO this one is the tougher of the two, but not by much.

if anyone wants to change their spell lineup or add components or non-mundane equipment, now is the time.

i wont require pearls for identity spells, but things like
-diamonds for resurrection
-10 gp mithril squares for phantom armor
-expensive tools for divinations (like special silver mirrors, etc)

name them now. most mundane equipment can be had in camp, just requiring a trip there if not already specified o chae sheets

Does any one have a staff or pole arm? We could maybe use it to trigger traps?

We might need a shovel based on the description given about sand.

The camp will have plenty of 10 ft poles as well, that can be had for free. Just tell me how many you want

Zafron will collect a shovel and a 10 foot pole.

If tabby can handle a pole she will take one also.

No problem, added it to the sheet .for Logistics I'll just imagine things like that are in one of the bags of holding unless being used currently

Upon checking inventory it appears, in true troubleshooter fashion, that Bryce packed a leather working kit rather than thieves tools. I don't suppose thieves tools are available back in camp?

Question: for dwarfs, how long does it take a dwarf to notice / use the detect traps / pits / stonework /underground dept / shifting wall etc????

One roll is one minute?

So it technically doesn't say how long it takes, just that the dwarf has to actually pay attention to the walls, he can't just walk past and suddenly know.
-Let's say he could cover one surface (one wall, floor, ceiling etc) while at a slow walking pace.
-Or they can take one minute to scan all of those for 10 ft ahead of them, provided sufficient light

Dwarfs have infravision. Detecting these things don`t work with infravision?

normal Darkness would be sufficient, yes. I suppose the comment about sufficient lighting was unecessary under most circumstances. Basically for the purposes of this game infravision will be like normal sight except in black and white. Being within or looking through a lit area will prevent the use of infravision.
[i.e. standing next to a torch will only allow you to see to the edge of the torch light even though normal infravision would let you see farther without it]

oop, yep. I'll fix that when I get home. Did either of you want to change your token picture art? I just picked a couple of dwarfs for van and Bryce since I never got pictures from you two
