Adrastia returns solemnly a few monents later. Artanis, stony faced but haggard, close behind. Together the pair drag the body off into the night. Tense minutes go by before they return. Artanis doesnt say a word, but moves back to his bedroll and turns to face away from the others.

The watches continue uninterrupted through the unsettling night...
Yet the night remains full... of deadliness... doubt... and dreams...

The nights in Ravenloft are anything but safe, and the heavily wooded landscape of Kartakass more treacherous than some. The threat of the unseen and fear of the uncertain are the heady spirit in the tonic of Ravenloft. The party has done well to this point by relying on each other, anticipating and preparing for threats, and focusing on the tasks at hand. That said, the danger thus far has been real, but may pale in comparison to the challenges to come.
