Pytor scrambles from his bedding as the commotion commences. "What in the nine hells is it?" Grabbing his two axes (battle axe and iron hand axe) he turns quickly to survey the scene.

"Shot through the Heart.." Trying to hold back her suprise Mira doesn't waste time drawing her weapon, instead she sings softly, the words producing three streaming bolts of blue from her fingers, aimed directly at the wolf man. "Dammit!"

"Pyros, stay out of the way and try to wake the others. Do NOT engage!" She shouts, hoping Elsa would recover soon enough. "Pytor, hold the damn thing off, let me keep casting magic."

Init [1d10] = 7

Magic Missile [1d4+1] = 4+1 = 5 [1d4+1] = 1+1 = 2 [1d4+1] = 1+1 = 2 9 damage.

Mira cries out to the others and fires off a trio of magical bolts at the sudden intruder. The missiles slam into the beast, causing it to growl angrily. Elsa’s training kicks in and she draws her mace from the loop at her belt with a hard backhanded swing; catching the hairy creature in the muzzle with a sharp crunch!

The monster descends upon the Halfling with a bestial ferocity, clawing and biting at the smaller prey in a frenzy of blood and fur! The cleric sustains a few wounds, but raises her shield in determination.

Nearby the others in camp rouse at the sounds of combat, all save the Mystaran Jerry and the exhausted Cross. Fenrir swoops down from a nearby limb and calls out agitatedly Caw! Ca-Ca-Caw!! as it hops and scratches at its master’s sleeping form; eventually rousing him.

Likewise, Merrick shakes his companion fervently; waking the dozing Jerry.

Pyros will taunt the stupid Wolf thing that interrupted his shut eye.

"HEY, HEEEEY! You ugly sleep interrupting mutt face. I bet you cant catch me!"

Waving his Hoopak in the air around him, topknot flying around in madness.

He will make his way to the edge of camp, at least 20' from Elsa, as he is yelling and taunting with some rude gestures to make sure the thing gets the idea.

Cross will wake up, groggy and unsure what to do.

He will scan the area, looking for any other threats, if none, he will wake anyone else that is not awake yet.

"Kill the bloody thing!" Mira shouts, letting three more bolts loose, "GET AWAY FROM ELSA!" She screams, getting ready to draw her sword.

Magic Missile [1d4+1] = 4+1 = 5 [1d4+1] = 2+1 = 3 [1d4+1] = 1+1 = 2 10 damage, unless its MR cuts in.

Pytor approaches (from the creature's side?) and attacks with both of the axes that he hastily grabbed. The gypsy bellows. "Get back to whatever hell you came from, beast!" Failing to connect with either blade, he tosses the weapons at the beast and darts back to his bedroll.

init [1d10] = 10
Battleaxe THAC0 15 Attack [1d20] = 3 -2 for two weapon fighting = 1
Hand Axe untrained THAC0 17 Attack [1d20] = 11 - 4 for off hand = 7

Brushing the sleep from her eyes, Jerry pushes out the fastest spell she can and a single aquamarine bolt of energy streaks toawrds the hairy intruder.

[Round 2]

As soon as Jerry is awake, Merrick turns his attention back to the intruder. With tremendous alacrity he lashes out with a pair of magical missiles that unerringly find their mark; blasting the beast with substantial force.

Pyros rushes to the edge of camp and calls out to the monstrous attacker, "HEY, HEEEEY! You ugly sleep interrupting mutt face. I bet you cant catch me!" The jibes seem to have no effect on their target.

Mira strikes out again with another volley of magic, injuring the predator severely. A final streak of aquamarine force sails across the encampment to strike the hairy hunter in the chest, dropping it to the forest floor.

Scanning the area nearby, the group finds no other assailants. Artanis moves towards the body as it begins to twist and shape itself back to a humanoid form. He begins to twirl one sword but stops abruptly, a stunned but otherwise unreadable expression on his face. Adrastia seems to pick up on the discontinuity and turns to observe the corpse more carefully. The still form of a half-elven man lies broken on the dark ground. Her eyes beg the obvious question, to which the ranger only mutters, … Erodh. Abruptly he turns from the fallen and moves off away from the camp. I’m going to check the traps.

"Thank you Jerry, Merrick. If another one comes, I can't do that again, I have one more of those.." Mira Kneels by Elsa, "Are you ok? Did anyone else get hit?" Checking the haflings wounds she lowers her head.

"Adrastia, you'd better check on him. He listens to you." She adds watching the Ranger leave. "Don't let him go too far."

Hearing that Elsa has been wounded, unless stopped Jerry casts Cure Moderate Wounds on her.

Mira checks her friend, though it is quite difficult to see in the weak light. The damage is not extensive but the wounds already have a swollen look and feel about them. The halfling hisses a little in pain at the touch. They sting a little... but.. I guess that thing didn't was his hands before dinner. she chuckles in a weak attempt at humor. The cleric begins trying to fish out her own holy symbol, but Jerry moves over and heals her ally.

Adrastia moves off after the ranger, pausing at the edge of camp she says I'll deal with the body later... before continuing out into the night.

Merrick seems puzzled and glanced at the others. Does.. does that mean he knows... erm... knew this man? Merrick asks, nervously.
Adran gives the body a cursory examination. The man's clothes are badly damaged from transformation, but seem quite similar to those that Artanis wears...

Jerry examines Elsa's wounds.
If it's not too late for mundane methods, she tries those first.
Failing which, or if the wounds aren't it completely fixed, Jerry perseveres with Cure Light Wounds.
If the wounds still aren't it completely fixed (or something else, e.g. pyros, crops up), Jerry perseveres with another Cure Light Wounds and then a Cure Moderate Wounds if necessary.

@Tristan - I'm fine with it if you choose to juggle these around between Elsa & Pyros.

Pyros goes to grab a stick. He proceeds to poke the corpse. "What is with these things...."

He then remembers his wound that never healed. He touches it for a moment.

"Jerry, could you look at this?"
