Jerry claps enthusiastically, smiling at Merrick and then looking back to the stage.

The crowd grows steadily into the night, and Mira spots a familiar face or two who must have made the trip from Harmonia. Everyone seems to enjoy the music as it pushes back the oppressiveness of night. Midway through, Erris gives the signal that the bard's dinner is ready.

For the most part the evening passes uneventfully, though Mira overhears a rumor in-passing of an unusual murder in Harmonia. Adrastia confirms she has heard the same; that someone was killed right out on The Loop one night and left for dead. While disappearances happened from time to time, such a public incident was rare... Jerry gets a shiver as the part vistana woman shares more detail... the man's neck had been broken badly and his throat torn, but there had been shockingly little blood...

"That sounds awful!"

"Throat torn out, little blood?"

Update: i've been given some examples of specific vampires on krynn, but i'm still getting data on their rarity (which would help determine if pyros or cross would have any idea about them. I'll update your private thread, Nocturno, when i have more info.

But a certain someone in the group will likely make the connection. I can't remember how much Jerry told the others about her father...]

Taking her meal with a smile Mira's spirits lifted by the music and the crowd, happy that for now at least she was among friends.

Seeking out the faces she catches those she know by the eye, going as far as to Greet them personally although in a more subdued manner to the way she usually acts.

"Killed in the street?" She muses, perhaps it was time to return, the people made this place, the nightmares that walked the streets in the daylight did not..

Mira approaches the familiar faces, a young man of perhaps 20 with a short crop of blonde gair, and a brunette girl a few years younger than he. The man introduced himself as Erik Moreau, and the girl as Gaisa Syndane. She wears some bangly bracelets and a tied scarf like a shawl around her waist in rough imitation of one of the bard's fomer outfits. The girl cant seem to keep the grin from her face, and swats Erik's arm periodically in excitement.

Mira spots Sabrina sitting near Elsa as well, having arrived shortly after sundown. Artanis keeps a close watch on the room, Adrastia nearby.

sorry the girl is a little over-the-top. She rolled up as a 'zealot' for one of Mira's patrons, lol.

Pyros will lay low, switching out some Steel for Gold if he has any left. Mostly just sipping drinks, maybe telling Elsa of some Kender-sploits of before coming to Ravenloft.

"Hi." Mira offers a hand as she approaches the pair, "I know you don't I? Are you just stopping by?" looking her up and down she nods in admiration, "Nice outfit, it looks familar." Grinning slightly she pulls at the scarf. "Are you enjoying the show? Anything you'd like me to play?"

Giving Sabrina a little wave she winks at Elsa and stands near the girl.

"How is your Father by the way?" She asks, turning her head to Erik. "He seems like a nice man."

Jerry says quietly to Adastria, "Dead and little or no blood? Sounds like a vampire. And the deceased may rise as the same. If it doesn't, I'd need to examine the body to be sure." She shivers and adds barely above a whisper, "And maybe talk to it."

Sabrina waves back at the bard in a friendly manner as the others speak to the entertainer.
Omigod you noticed! the girl half squeals, I saw you at the festival and I’ve been to every. Show. When I heard you were coming to Skald I beg-beg begged my parents to let me go but they wouldn’t let me go alone and made me bring him along. You play anything, I love it all! But those gypsy numbers are my favorite!

Erik grins and bows formally, I might have know you’d remember my father. I guess he is the one that you dealt with after that whole… he looks around and lowers his voice, that whole thing at the jail. He clears his throat and returns to a more normal tone, He says you and your friends really helped them out.. and that he’s sorry about your friend… Changing the subject quickly, Are you playing here again tomorrow? I’m not sure if we can stay another day. I have to get back to work at the barrel-maker. I’m a cooper’s apprentice. he says.


Adratia nods at Jerry’s question, As far as I’ve heard, yes. She considers the priestess’ words solemnly, That is certainly an extra layer of trouble we don’t need… undead… Bad enough the evil living things… We will have to take extra precautions… I don’t know where the body is now, or how it is being kept, but we’ll have only a little time in town before we strike out again; so you’d best see to it as soon as we arrive.

"Of course I noticed." Mira replies with a welcoming grin, "I really appreciate the support, my music hasnt been as accepted here as I would like, so its great to hear." She pauses, "The Gypsy style ones, I do have a new one..

I hid my heart in a nest of roses,

In a softer bed then the soft white snow's is,
Under the roses I hid my heart." She sings gently, tapping her feet slightly to create a beat.

"Having spent time on the road I fully agree with them, the road out there is dangerous, I'm glad you listened." She grins. "I want to protect my fans. And after that story I heard today..." Looking away she turns to Erik slightly.

"We did what needed to be done, thats all, but thanks." She winces trying to push back the image of Yasir, "Tomorrow? No.. My friends and I are heading back to Skald in the morning. Cooper? You look like a man who is good with his hands." Fighting the urge to giggle she shoots another wave at Sabrine.

"I have to talk to someone for a moment, I hope you enjoy the rest of the show. Can we chat later, perhaps over a drink? My friend Elsa and possibly Sabrine will be joining us, if thats alright?" Patting Gaisa on the shoulder she grins. "Gaisa." And with that she slips over to the table with Elsa and Sabrine, sliding alongside Sabrine she sandwiches her in alongside Elsa.

"So, have you asked her?" Mira asks with a giggle, nudging Sabrine's leg. "I was hoping.. Oh dammit, look we have to go back to Harmoina tomorrow, and, I.. We.. are going to miss you. So, Me, You and Elsa, we get some bottles of wine, we drink, and then you spend the night here, please?" Fluttering her eyebrows she giggles, "Elsa will protect you." She giggles louder.

(I have her next set planned, once you reply I'll post and we can move on.)

The pair thank her for her time and assure her that they'll be sure to catch her next performance as well. The girl squeals a little when the bard pats her shoulder and repeats her name; drumming her hands on Erik's chest.

Sabrina gives Mira a big smile as she joins them. Elsa says something about not quite having the local language down yet, and Mira recalls that Sabrina doesn't speak Elven either. The waitress watches the bard curiously as she works up to the point, then giggles a little. You mean like a sleepover? Sure! That should be fun! But you have to come see me again next time you and your friends come back to Skald, okay? she insists.

Ok, once the second half of the set plays I'll lock this thread and try to calculate xp sometime tonight. if not it will be this weekend for sure.

"Yes a sleepover." Mira giggles, "We need to teach Elsa a few words, and you need to learn some Elven." Giggling she steps back on the small stage she sits astride the stool and begins to play a rising beat, the notes bouncing across the room.

"This is for the lovely Gaisa and Erik who have come all the way from Harmonia.

The words fall in time with the tune, as she begins to stand, keeping the music playing she raises her head.

Mira bounces swiftly on the stage her hair bouncing as she moves, watching the group she grins widely and takes her seat once more. Taking up her lute she strums a few chords, before breaking into an old song.
