I am looking for a group to join. I am willing to play any edition.

Edit: Also, I am willing to do homebrew, & any setting, just warn me of any homebrew rules.

Edit 2: I am also willing to DM, so post here if you would like me to dm.

Welcome to the site!

I know of at least one game accepting new players, Chris' Hackmaster (based on 2nd ed D&D). (Setting is a parody of Grayhawk i believe) Here
http://www.padnd.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3207

And I suspect Spike may be still accepting players in his 1st ed D&D homebrew game here:

Yep. It's essentially 90% 2nd Ed AD&D.
The Parody was in the license conditions from WotC to Kenzerco.
I dont run it as a parody though.
The other 10% is pretty cool.
It's what 3rd Ed should have been.

Thank you Tristen for the welcome.

As for chris' game, I am quite willing to join, but be warned, I've never played 2e, so I may be a bit slow to learn. I also do some pretty crazy stuff, like attempting to become a dragon rider. But, as I said earlier, I would be happy to join.

If you're interested In games that aren't DND, Mutants and Masterminds is Super hero based and I'd love to have you.

That souns like fun. I would like to ask though, is the system similar to d&d?

You still roll dice to determine successes and failures. Character creation is the biggest difference. It's a point buy system. I can build you a character if you can't figure it out.

I've used point-buy systems before & understand how they work, I just don't like them.

That's fair. However, it's really the best way to represent powers and balance them out. Why don't you stop by my sub forum and we can talk about it a little more.

Tales from Golden City: OOC thread will be what you are looking for.
