Impressed with the key, Erik sits down on 'his' bunk and re-reads the course list.
He intends to sign up for:

Shelding 101
Seeing the unseent
Enchanting and you' how to change the world so you don't have to'
Curing and controlling vampires
Make anything look like what people want 101
Dead but not boring

If this can be done magically now, Erik does so, otherwise he goes off to try and find out how.

when he chooses the classes they light up on the page once he thinks hes done the writing on the pages morph into a map leading to each class showing that non are on right now but that Enchanting and you' how to change the world so you don't have to' starts in 3 hours a little hour glass slowly counting down ink sand flowing.

"Well they are efficient here," he mutters, and heads out to see what comes his way.

as he steps out two students rush in the hall at a full run past his door. the taller a female human stopping and coming back "you! are you new here?"

"Me? Sure. Why?" he replies, not being in the mood for hazing.

more students come running down the hall and an air of panic is starting to be felt "you picked a bad time to enroll" and explosion sounds distant and a second later the wall shake. the young woman stumble into the door frame " we need ot get out of here the school is being evacuated" another explosion and quake "some buddy said its the Rira Imperia army. they just showed up and started attacking the town. the founders are putting up a fight but they cant hold off an army"

He leaves.

on his way out of the school more explosions rock the school as he gets to the main floor he can see wizards in the school robs putting out fires and treating wounded as more explosions happen out side another wizard with the school uniforms and a black belt comes up to him "you! what belt are you?"

occ:sorry for the slow progression. the issue im having is your going at a good pace and the other group is lagging. so im going to pick up your pace but you may hit a point where you need to wait for the others to catch up (they are draging there feet)

the black belt had tucks a piece of errant hair behind her ear "ok you have two choices follow your keys directions it will lead you to the meeting point for evacuation or you can stay here and fight wight belts are only on fire duties right now so its not to dangerous you basically be bailing buckets of water for now"

{OOC: It's fine, I understand. I thought I'd be miles behind them in xp. Also, FYI, IG am keeping an eye for an opportunity to grab a blood-meal, but probably best not on site of a mage-school!}

"I can handle a bit of danger if it would be helpful," offers Erik. Failing any take up, not being one to stand around and wait, he heads off for bailing duty as directed.

a line of wight belts are running buckets back and forth putting out a fire Erik takes place shorting the run to a passing line instead of a rush. he can see out a window to the town and sees a battle taking place. powerful flashes of magic and glints of clashing steal can be seen in front of the pub he passed on his way. as hes passes his first bucket he sees a bolt of energy from the battle far of arks at the school headed to blowing out the wall next to him. (give me a dex check to doge the exploding wall)
