Kind of, i suppose. I've never really seen one in the flesh, but Efretti are evil, aren't they? So i would think they'd be pretty crafty or difficult at best... should we try it or see if we can get some way to positively identify it?

The halfling cracks the distinctive bottle open and disappears in a cloud of smoke.

As the smoke clears, a deep booming voice pronounces, "It is cold!. Less us finish this."
It's owner, some 12' tall,skin of brass and hair of flame stands, legs akimbo, muscly arms folded, peering down to the hairy footed halfling.

A strange conversation ensues.
"Are you challenging me to a fight?" asks Polly.
"No."
"So what do you want."
"I want to go home."
"So why not go home."
"Because I must grant you three Wishes and then I shall be free to return home."
"So what must you do and what must you not do?"
"I will grant three wishes and they may not include wishes for more wishes. I will distort or twist a wish if it is greedy. I will not serve otherwise. I will not distort or twist a wish if it is not greedy. I will not lie to you."
"Will I've promised to share whatever we found with my colleague, Ruehar, here, so we can have a wish apiece but how can we best share the third?"
"Interesting, oh short one. I have never encountered that question across all the centuries. Because that entertains me, you may each ask a more Limited Wish."

Polly leans back and says through the side of her mouth, "Hey! You ready, Ruehar?

Ruehar exhales a long breath. Well... traveling with you is certainly never boring for long, Polly... Turning to the new arrival he asks, I am Ruehar Kabalar, he introduces himself, What is your name, and what are the limitations of the Limited Wish?

The creature doesn't respond until Polly echoes the question..
"Ontash Brioniscowski."

Polly says, "Righto. Now, I Wish that I was not Compelled to study."
The Ontash looks down at her and nods, "Let it be." and a flare of cold blue flame erupts from him, engulfing Polly.
The flames clear quickly and it is clear that the halfling has not been harmed by them.
"Ahh! I feel more relaxed about studying already," she comments. "Your turn, Ruehar."

Gaming skill related to the query about 1s and 7s.
Make an Arcane Lore check with 40% bonus and you can look up the spells Wish and Limited Wish in PHB.
Wish can improve a stat by 1 if less than 16 or 25% if>16.. Limited Wish can do about half of this. Wish can remove 6BP of quirk or flaw gained in char gen. Limited Wish cannot do this at all permanently.
Polly loses Compulsion (10BP) and also 50 percentile points of Int & Wis (-2BP each)

Ruehar clears his throat a bit as he thinks, Alright, i have decided. I would like to be rid of this nervous twitch i have. he turns to Polly, It interferes with my aim sometimes... back to you.

The elemental noble looms impressively and impassively until Polly echoes the wish to be stronger*.
After being briefly engulfed in cold blue flame {OOC: no damage}, Ruehar feels stronger.
Polly then states, "We will share the third as two more Limited Wishes as equally as possible, one each. I Wish that I was more intelligent."
After another wash of blue flames engulf just Polly, Ruehar sees no visible change. She adds, "Your turn."
After echoing the more chancy (Limited) Wish to be rid of the nervous twitch and brief blue engulfment Ruehar finds his facial muscles free from involuntary movement and his coordination slightly improved.
The Efreet disappears in a cloud of blue smoke and with a slight popping sound. The bottle shatters to fine dust.

"That went well," comments Polly with understatement. "What do you want to do next? We could follow the river down to the coastal path in case we can see any more of the shepherd's body. Then head north back to Namaren. What do you think?"

Wish: Please amend the Char sheet for {20th April - Edited: Str 11/42=> 12/42 (so +0 to hit, +0 dam, wt allow 51, max press 130, OD 6, BB/LG 4% => +0 to hit, +1 dam, wt allow 59, max press 140, OD 7, BB/LG 5%), & I've edited this into the char sheet, 20th April}
Limited Wish: Success TN [10d10] = 64
Success check: TN 64 [1d100] = 44 - success
Please delete that Nervous Twitch flaw from the char sheet (and also the associated penalty of -1 to hit with ranged weapons.) {20th April - Edited: updated into char sheet}
Stat bonus[1d7] = 2 => Dex, so please also add +25 percentile points to Dex. {20th April - Edited: updated into char sheet}

XP bonus for treasure:
Ruehar gains +1333 per class, with GH gives:
+1399 making a new total of 3156xp/2500xp for MU L1 {20th April - Edited: updated into char sheet}
+1532xp (includes stat bonus 10%) making a new total of 3349xp/1250 for Th1. {20th April - Edited: updated into char sheet}
==> As Th1 xp exceeds that xp threshhold to be able to train for L2 by an amount in excess of the increment for the level, Ruehar auto-trains and is now L2 in Thief.
This resets his xp for Th2 to 1251xp/2500xp. {20th April - Edited: updated into char sheet}

Please roll stat increments as per Appendix J, Table 1A in the PHB. As multiclass, these are then halved and rounded down. Fractions do not carry forwards.
Please also roll hit points and halve them, round down but keep a record of any fractions on the char sheet.
You have 35 skill points to allocate the Thief skills; of which no more than +15 to any given skill.
Honour is now 20. GH window for your L2 character is 25-30 Hon.
+2 Temporal Hon for going up a level. We will housekeep Temp Hon when Ruehar gets back to town..

XP agreed. Thief skills agreed.
GH applies to all rolls. The stat rolls penetrate upwards as do the Hon die rolls.
Thus:
Dex 18/55
Wis 10/38
Cha 14/17
Com 12/33
and Str rolled 9+2(GH)+1d8(-1+1, penetration)=11+7=18 giving Str 12/51
and Con rolled 5+2(GH)+1d4(-1+1, penetration)=7+3=10 giving Con 10/62

I've redone Int for you:
1d10+1d4+2(GH)=10+4+2=16+penetration=16+1d10+1d4-2+2=16+9+1=26 so Int 15/15

HP also get GH so 1d6+1=3+1=4 giving 27HP

So you'll need to update these onto the char sheet and then check the bonuses for Str and Dex.
