I personally don't remember the two types. But this game has spanned a few years now.
With the clothing and the close shave, and size of clothing, Pyros was certain the note about feeding the bushes came from Ledalar's room.
And also he was comparing clothing while in the rooms and is certain the list came from Haldrake. I think we should some how broach the subject with Haldrake. Pyros current condition may be a good way to bring it up if we go meet with him.
He also found his current silver dagger in Haldrake's room.

It's not recorded anywhere. The party have largely had to learn as they go.
Mira in particular and a couple of others have learned that "those that sing" are vulnerable to iron. Most others are to silver or magic weapons. That said, Esker and Iscind ran into one that was only barely hurt by magic wespons (1 dmg per hit) but silver did normally. It was also inferred that gold may hirt some when the original party discovered a cache of iron, silver and gold-tipped weapons.
And there seems no way to tell them apart

Immobilized by wooden stake thru the heart.
Repelled by garlic or strongly presented holy symbol (LG, NG, CG, LN IIRC).
Hurt by fire, holy water, acid, a lot of damaging spells, magical weapony or a holy symbol (as above) pressed into their flesh.
"Killing" a vampire's body makes it turn to mist and return to its prepared grave.
Truly killed by (continued) immersion in running water or continued exposure to sunlight, or decapitation and holy wafers placed in the mouth.
