Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear :D :D :D

Post by Namenlos »

The release date says today :D

I try not to buy new releases of games but this is one I think I'll break that rule for! Anyone else feeling the nostalgia/excitement?

I haven't played the second one yet, to be honest. I have such a backlog of games to work through, I wonder if I'll ever get to them all.

Played BG1 & 2 (whatever they were called) to death - also the enhanced BG1 on Steam.
Don't remember Siege of Dragonspear. Brand new? Or..?

I'd tell you if I could get there! lol. I have to, of course, do a full play through and I keep restarting while still in the first few chapters :(
There has been some UI updates to the Enhanced Editions which, once I got over the initial shock of change, are pretty okay. There is a new class(the shaman) which is pretty much always good to me and several new kits, oh and you get the shaman and kit updates for free with the EE's anyway, hehe.

The journal was, I guess streamlined which has made the quest journal itself kinda... meh, not a fan... But I do like the personal journal I get to keep, totally RPing my way through at least one run right now with more to come >.<

:D

however... I can't provide any more at the moment as I'm having trouble getting back into the game. It sucks that it has received so much drama(sucks more that I read about it before playing >.< ) because I personally am having trouble just enjoying the game. Gotta wait a few days/weeks/months for the my mind to settle. :(

I just consider it foolishness, you know how up in arms gamers can get. I think I'd recommend it still, slowly working my way forward. Here's a little dialogue that cracked me up once again :D

My first new character and party died, spiders in that house poisoned him dead :(

Torn between making a new character or loading, kinda want to do a play through without loading and maybe no Resurrection(at least from temples).
