Jacen commands the rope to let the captain down. He then tells the rope to bring the chest and paper over. "Take care of the wounded" he calls to whoever can take care of them. He reads the paper and opens the chest. (Unless the paper says something bad about the chest.)

After the captain is let down, he backs up to the mast, staring in shock at Jacen, "What was... what was that?!?"

The paper reads:

15lbs Gunpowder
6 days of food for everyone
A chest we found.
4lbs Aurorum
6lbs Iron

After that, the paper is smudged and picked up a few drops of blood.

The chest itself contains an old parchment and a small ornate key.

"Search them for weapons and bring them to the mast." Jacen commands the crew. He grabs the sword of the captain and leads him to the meeting room.

(OOC: Quartermaster has his sword.)

The pirates allow themselves to be tied up, waiting and staring. As Jacen walks by the storage room, a light is on inside, and the door itself is closed. The Captain is led to the meeting room, where he sits down. Some of the other officers are in there, except Agemmon who resides in the sickbay and the Quartermaster who is obviously in storage again.

"Well, gentlemen. We have captives. What should we do with them? I have one idea. We could send some of the new crewmen with the Quartermaster to send them to town and jail, and sell the ship. Any other suggestions?" He reads their moods and the captain's reaction to each suggestion.

Some of the officers look around, nodding, however one of them looks around. "Didn't she get stabbed?" he says, noting that she isn't sitting with them.

The Captain also laughs at the idea, "Turn us in? Ha. You'd barely get a piece of electrum for us." However, when you mention selling his ship, the man looks at Jacen, "..Are you serious?.."

"What am I gonna do with it? If I let you loose, you'll come back for me. Plus, it's my... public service. And hey, money. Why, what do you think?"

"Come back for you? Pffffffff. Your Quartermaster just incapacitated me with a single strike, /after/ I stabbed her. Even my crew wouldn't be eager to meet you again." he says, skeptically. "Aside from that, what public service? You -are- a pirate."

Yarr harr fiddle dee dee. Being a Pirate is so easy. You can do what you want 'cause a pirate is free, you -are- a pirate!

"Meh. Maybe I'll take a pardon and become a privateer." He forces himself to look serious for a second, then laughs. "But hey, you probably have learned your lesson. Maybe I'll let you go. Maybe." He turns to his officers. "Some of you can question him, others can lead the search on his ship. Make sure you check all the popular smuggling places. Take one of his men with you to show you around." He steps out into the hall, and pulls out the parchment, and knocks on the storeroom door.

The Captain is led off, and a few officers spend time splitting up duties. As they walk out, Jacen walks over to the storage room and knocks on the door.

As he knocks, the door shifts a little, the lock clearly not set. He can hear this.

"Who i- OH GOD." as something or someone falls to the floor.

"Uh... quartermaster? You decent?"

(OOC:The only noises coming out of the storage room at this time are muffled noises.)

Jacen stands there, wondering what is going on.

Jacen carefully opens the door.

As he opens the door, he can see the Quartermaster lying face first on the floor. A few golden metal plates are lying on the counter behind her. This would not be a weird thing if it wasn't for her arm, which looks to be constructed of the metal itself. She lies there, trying to pick herself up with her right arm, as the left is not moving. A small black puddle is growing from where her shoulder sets.

She notices Jacen step in, and looks a little shocked. She half-whispers over, "Help me up, and close the door!"

Jacen shuts the door, helps her up, sits down, and says "What. The. Hell. happened? And uh... you're not human." he brilliantly observes.
