Cross (Rivi) Private Thread

The common room has several tables open and a comfortable fire going that warms the place well. Taking a small empty table he makes his order, but it is clear the young server doesn't understand. Pardon, a male voice nearby says in perfect Qualinesti, perhaps I can be of service. Turning he sees the voice belongs to a man with shoulder length black hair gathered at his nape by a silver clasp. The eyes are blue-violet, like those of nearly everyone he has seen in town, but the cheekbones and jaw-line have a distinct Elven quality to them. I am still learning the local language here myself, but I think help. He quickly translates Cross' request for the waiter, who moves off to see to it. You have the look of a Sithican, but your accent is a little... different. May I ask where you're from? Pardon, my manners have left me. My name is Merrick Ellosian, he says, extending his hand to shake.

[OOC: From his magical training/research he knows other planes exists, and that there are many theories about them. Several theories refute each other, but the most reliable are those about the elemental planes... which this definitely does not appear to be...]

New to the area are you? He asks, congenially.

Suddenly the door to the inn opens and a train of people come in, all very different from the limited populace he has observed so far. The first to enter is a densely muscled tan man with short-cropped hair in chainmail and a two-handed sword peeking over his back. Next are two readheads, the first he has seen, enter. One is a man who appears to be a woodsman and bears a hint of elven heritage. The second is a beautiful lady, who the staff and patronage perk up a bit at seeing. She is wearing her blouse rather... casually, and has an air of comfort about her in the surroundings. Behind them come a pair of much shorter people, one a young man shuffling cards in a single hand and the other a young woman about a foot taller (and still only four feet high). Upon closer examination one of them is a Kender! Perhaps he was not too far from Krynn after all if there were Kender about.

Friday - Cross will see if Mira will go to the Mage shop and negotiate a price for the familiar scroll for him. Or if there is a trade the shopkeep will negotiate.

Saturday - Cross will get busy on any trade or labour if negotiated into the price of the scroll. Otherwise he will just relax and pig out, casting cantrips to help along digestion so he can pack in an extra meal if possible.

Does Cross understand about what a Raven familiar benefits?

Or is that something I can learn via RP? Cause I could look it up, but I think it would be way more fun for him and I to discover.

As excited as he was about it all game, I'd say he has a pretty good idea.

One thing he notes, however, is that the mental link isn't supposed to be this strong, like telepathy. He was expecting amore empathic link.
