Chapter 4: Meeting at The Safehaven Inn

[Jenara]

"You think he was after me?" Arnora replies, her voice full of alarm. "No Lord Dancien supposedly went back to Evermeet, I would have been expected to return with them." She shakes her head. "I am sure he was after someone else." Her eyes go to the roof.

"Bella Luna?" She shakes her head once more, "No, I am quite new to the City, Navi would probably know.. But she's busy chasing someone." Her voice doesn't shake but its clear the anger is the only thing keeping her together. "Why do you ask?"

How could they go like that..? No.. They weren't themselves, perhaps the letter was a way to put people off. "It's a trap." She mutters.

So did you see anyone on rooftop which way they went?

"I have a general idea."

[Jenara]

"A general idea about what?" The young girl asks with a raised eyebrow.

[TristenC]

This one thinks this is some kind of a game. Let's go outside and see if we can find them. Mercair says, offering a hand to Arnora and a glare to Kyntroice.

[Jenara]

Arnora doesnt take the offered hand, instead she moves to Donor, "Navi told me to wait." She replies stubbornly. "How is he?" She asks putting a shaky hand on Edrianna's shoulder.

Very well, but stick close to the staff please. Mercair says, as he hurries out the back of the inn, pulling his short spears from his pack and holding the spares with his shield-hand, putting his mace back at his belt. Thinking to Navi, Where are you, I'm out back at ground level

Kyntroice meets Mercair outside.
"They went that way." Kyntroice says pointing in the direction he last saw them. "Like I said, I have a general Idea, but I don't know exactly where they went."

The cleric's look softens a bit. Thanks. Sorry, it's been a little hectic recently with the attempted assassination and all... He heads off in the direction indicated, hefting a spear and scanning the roof-line.

"It's fine, just try to be a bit more careful with your attitude next time." Kyntroice replies. "I'll keep an eye on the girl in case anything happens."

I just tend to take things seriously when people are in danger. he returns flatly, continuing his search.

Kyntroice meets Arnora in the tavern. "I have a few questions I need to ask you."

[Jenara]

"Me?" Arnora asks pointing to her chest. "I don't know what I can tell you to be honest." She asks as she kneels before Donor checking his wound. "What do you want to ask?" Her voice starts to tremble with worry..

"For starters, Who are you?"

[Jenara]

"That's a rather personal question.." Arnora answers, "My name is Arnora. I came to Waterdeep a few days ago." She regards him with scepticism, watching Donor and the others out the corner of her eye.

"I trust that answers your question?" She tilts her head, wrapping her arms around her body tightly, forming a protective shell.
