Okay. For Cantrips, I pick "Spare the Dying," "Mending," and "Resistance."

Sorry, I was feeling a little discouraged by the lack of interested players, and was about to scrap this whole thing and consider it a failure to launch.
I actually came here to let you guys no that, but in the middle of typing I thought "No, screw that."
Both of you put plenty of work into learning the system and creating characters, it would be pretty messed up for me to just drop this.
So, I'll get some new posts set up for you guys to put your character descriptions in and get this thing started with renewed resolve.
(Assuming you guys are still interested, of course.)

What can you tell us about the city we're starting in? Also, the Shadowhunters, who I assume will be important in this game?

I'll get some information on the city and the guild typed out after I get it rounded out, I've never done any city building are anything like that, so it may take a while.

The old 2e "Worldbuilder's Guidebook" might be helpful for that. I'm bot sure if there is a 5e equivalent, but the theory should be the same

I would also be willing to assist, amd have the text mentioned. Is there a particular area you're having trouble working? Or is it more of the 'where to start from'?

If it is the latter, working up some of the rudimentary details for higher-category things like the country/region/geography, can help things fall into place. Having solid frameworks for those (not necessarily all the details) makes things easier. The 'purpose' the town serves, races (native, transient, settlers), political origin/evolution. One good way is to start chronologically. Why here? Defensible? Natural resource? Trade route? How/when did it evolve? What groups were attracted/driven off? Etc.

If you want to mention specifics we might be able to help further. I can keep pc knowledge separate, and I'm sure Jaded could as well.

Something else to think about is population. Is this place considered a village, town, or city? Would you say it is sparsely populated, lowly populated, of average population, highly populated or very highly populated?

The more people, the more resources the area has in terms of craftsmen, traders, workers, etc. Although that also means more bookkeeping, too.
