This is a short adventure, so we'll take things relatively slow. None of us are experts on this game's mechanics, so don't feel shy about asking questions, even in the heat of battle, and try not to get frustrated if things get bogged down as we all try and find our footing.

Good luck!

Hmm, I never use it myself so hadn't noticed it was missing. It should be up now, though.

Okay, our first skill check!

If there are any questions about how that worked, let me know.

Nobody has any focuses in "Seeing" but if you did, that would have granted another +2 to the roll. It's a basic 3d6 roll with your PER score added. Simone has a PER of 2, whereas Davne and Wallace have a PER of 1. The TN or 'target number' is the score you need to succeed. A TN of 9 is considered easy, but nonetheless, Wallace still failed. Perhaps he was distracted by something and wasn't paying attention. I'll leave that up to spyguy.

And that wraps up the first chapter, "An Arl's Request." Basically it was meant to introduce the PCs to each other and introduce the main quest.

However, most of the little scenes involved were really a test of character, to give me a feel for how your characters react to certain situations. Did you help the elf who splattered mud on you, or did you yell at/beat/kill him? How did you react to Alenka? Did you return her dropped coin or pocket it? How did you react to the Arl, especially when he smacked his servant or how he was more worried about his image than his own children? Did you try and haggle with the Arl over the reward? How did you treat the Arlessa? Did you accept her coin or insist she keep it? How did you treat the dwarves? Did you haggle with them or try to swindle/steal from them? And so on.

I think I learned a lot based on the character's reactions. Anyway, the next chapter should be more interesting, as they are on the road now; and anything goes, especially in a wild place like the Hinterlands.

I hope you three are enjoying things so far. If you have any questions or feedback, just let me know.

No, I don't think it stacks.

Also, when someone stunts I always post STUNT! right afterward.

(I moved these posts over to the OOC thread.)

Quick OOC question, is Genlock 4 considered 'adjacent' to Davne, or 2 yards away? or simply what is the reach of melee weapons for the purposes of 'dual strike'?

Yeah, I'd say it's adjacent to Davne.
