Gallath's Vignette

"Aye." He says. He goes to talk to the one-eyed dwarf.

The dwarf may be old, but he is quite hale and strong with a barrel-sized chest. He has grey hair and a well-trimmed and braided beard. His one good eye is grey in color.


"Blast!" he mutters to himself. "This is one of the most boring expeditions I've ever seen. What I wouldn't give for some pirates or a sea monster of some kind to break up the tedium," he complains, looking out over the railing and into the briny sea below.

"Yes, for sure." I say, walking up beside him. "Maybe that last black dragon will show his face."

[JadedDM]

"Aye, I wouldn't mind taking some vengeance on that giant flying lizard," he says. Suddenly realizing there is someone next to him, he turns to Gallath with surprise. "Eh? Who the Nine Hells are you, elf?" he asks.

"I am Gallath, the passenger of your fine ship. And you?"

The old dwarf harrumphs, then points to himself with his thumb. "Tomori Riddlemark, chief tactical officer of the Bullring," he announces. "I direct the marines in battle, I do, and am one of the best of the best." He sniffs. "You must be that passenger we took on. Tell me, elf, do you have any fighting skills or would you be cowering in the cargo hold if we were attacked?"

"I am a fair warrior. If a fight was started, I would be up here, next to you and the other brave men and women of this fine ship"

"Harrumph!" Tomori says, crossing his arms. "Well, I guess we'll see. If something attacks, anyway. At this point, I'd settle for an orcish sloop. At least it would break the tedium."

"Aye" he says, chuckling. "We're getting there tonight, so maybe some pirates will be lurking. But this voyage has been a long one." he goes to talk to the red-haired human.

Gallath approaches the red haired man. He has a fair complexion and is wearing fine gold and red robes. He has a piece of parchment on some kind of clipboard and is using a quill to take notations on something. He looks up at the clouds every now and again, mutters some numbers under his breath, then writes them down on the ledger.

"Hello there. Might you be Thaddeus?"

The man looks up from his ledger, a bit surprised. "Oh, uh...hello. Yes, I am Thaddeus. I'm the navigator of this ship. You must be the passenger we took on?"

"That I am. Do you see that lady over there?" He asks, discreetly pointing her out.

Thaddeus shields his eyes from the sun with his hand so he can see who Gallath is referring to. He spots Naishe just as she steps down below decks. "Oh, yes. She's new, I believe. What of her?" he asks.

"I have reason to believe she is with the league. Can you do anything to prove it? The captain is backing me up on this"
