Forgotten Realms: DND 3.5/ Pathfinder rules

Characters will make there way to the Safe Haven Inn located in the South Ward of Waterdeep; in a manner suitable to their origin and background story.

PBMB

5. What is the characters' starting level ?

4th level characters;
full hit points for 1st level
half hit points plus any bounus for 2nd to 4th levels

6. How much starting funds will the characters begin with ?

9. Does your game use alignment ? What are your restrictions, if so?

Alignment is used. No restrictions on alignment. If you run an evil character, role-play him properly. Your role-playing will determine if the party casts you out, or worse. Remember your characters only know each other from their actions and interactions. Basically only you and I know your character's knowledge. What you reveal is up to you. Use private messages to communicate undisclosed information between your character and other characters or NPC's

10. Are there any homebrewed rules that your Players should be aware of ?

Refer to House Rules topic

11. Is a character background and history needed ?

Yes. The more detailed, the better. Especially good backgrounds may merit rewards, including (but not limited to!) bonus XP.

12. Is your game , hack & slash , puzzle solving , or is there a big emphasis on role-playing or all of the afore-mentioned ?

d. all of the above

13. Are players restricted to particular rulebooks or can supplements and prestige kits/classes etc. be used ?

Must come from published WOTC DND 3.0/3.5 material. Pathfinder if approved

I have few questions regarding the game that might be of ineterest to other players in the forum:
1. How many posts do you expect players to submit a week?
2. Is knowing the 2nd Ed. rules enough to participate as a player in the game?
3. Is it possible to play without knowing the Forgotten Realms background?

Thanks,
BishGada
1. I would like to usually see a post made within 24 hours of an oppurtunity. Likewise, my goal will be to respond within the same time frame. I try to be practical. Between different time zones and work schedules, 24 hours seems a good time frame. Weekend posting is appreciated but not expected.

2. Most 2nd Ed players can pick up 3.5 rather quickly. I'll assist with source material and character creation as much as possible if desired. For a quick look try these links. http://www.d20srd.org/ http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=d20/article/srd35

3. That will make it more interesting in my opinion. You may want to look over the Dieties though. My campaign pulls in some rather obscure parts of the setting, so prior knowledge may help but is not essential.

Here is a link for a 3.5 Forgotten Realms character generator.

The setting is around 1372 DR prior to the Death of Mystara and the Spellplague.

I should have mentioned that the gaming forums is just part of a larger site. Also if you have your character stored at another site, just send me the link. You don't have to do everything here.

http://www.padnd.com/

http://www.padnd.com/3eprofiler/

http://www.padnd.com/35_char_gen.php

http://www.padnd.com/utilities.php

http://www.unseenservant.com/ Campaign ID 354

You will have to register to use the profiler.
