Tulbas notices Geregeddin attempt at taking Daxia away and prepares to ask the Cavalier to stay close to him to protect him from the mage that still wasn't detected, in case he will try to pursue. In the meanwhile he cast a cantrip trying to conjure small stones inside the cavalier armor at the joins in order to hinder his attempts at attacking and balancing on his feet.

"Stones, tiny and fair,
Come materialize out of thin air."

====================================================
(OOC:

HorizonsDream, nice strike! I think you carved third of the cavalier's life with that hit. :)

Tulbas tries to conjure few small edgy stones inside the cavalier's armor by the following priority (since I'm not sure how much material he can conjure) elbows, knees, shoulder, feet.
Initiative (1d10+1 = 2).
For the following round, could I make the armor joint rust quickly using cantrip? and would it have any effect?
Also, is it possible to slit more than one sleeping person throat at the same round? and giving the risk these people present if they awake, would it be an evil act, or a reasonable one?)

Darga grits his teeth against the pain and rushes to assist Gregeddin and Daxia in their flight. "C'mon, m'lady," he gasps, "We'll git ya somewhere safe. Though his focus is on getting the elf girl away from the brawl as quickly as possible, Darga looks back to see if the cavalier or any other of her captors move to hinder their flight.

"Rusted mother of the three sons." Haahqae swears, still perplexed by the smoke rising around the night. "I sure am glad I'm not you right now, but if I were I'd be running." Then he notices a large cluster of dark particles circling the shield, so he adds "And I'd ditch the shield."

(Haahae sustains the cantrip.)

Haahqae stands where he is, continuing to concentrate on his mist cantrip. It seems to have little effect, however.

Tulbas moves closer and focuses on a cantrip of his own. He conjures a small pebble in the elbow joint of the cavalier's armor, making it slightly harder for him to swing his weapon.

Gregeddin drops his torch and grabs at Daxia with one hand, the other remaining on his sword. He attempts to drag her, but the bound girl is heavier than she appears. With only one hand, he can only drag her about ten feet away, forcing him to call for Darga's help.

"No!" the cavalier objects, realizing his prize is being taken from him. He moves to stop the bard, but Kynaston circles around and cuts him off. The big warrior swings his axe at the cavalier, but the blade simply skirts off the plate mail. The cavalier counters by swinging his pick and slams the weapon into Kynaston's side. Kynaston cries out in pain and nearly drops, but just barely manages to keep on his feet anyway.

"You won't...take her," he says through grit teeth, bleeding badly from his wound.

Darga, meanwhile, catches up to Gregeddin and helps the bard drag her further away. When they stop to catch their breath, the woman suddenly seems to come to and lashes out wildly at the two. However, as her hands are tied together, all she manages to pull off is a helpless flail and neither the bard or the thief are hit for any real damage.

Kendra slips behind the cavalier and attacks with her two swords. Her elven sword bounces off the cavalier's heavy plate mail, but she manages to strike hard enough with her mundane one to actually do some moderate damage against the knight.

"oww! come on now" Gregeddin complains as daxia flails. "look, sword going away now will you calm down?!"
Gregeddin sheaths his broadsword and takes a firm grip of her. He was not considering taking off her bindings any time soon. "Right, Darga, let's get her out of this mess and somewhere safe. We'll have to trust the others to handle themselves." and he continues to frog March Daxia away from the battle.

With a look of Horror Haahqae looks at his dying cantrip, then, as if expecting something he turns and runs. He climbs up the boxes and back onto the roof, where he readies his bow for another few shots.

Understanding that the magical sleep is about to cease, Tulbas decides in the last moment to quickly disarm the sleeping people, to prevent them from attacking after awakening. He warns the others, "The three soldiers are about to wake up!" and then quickly moves between the three, takes the quivers from the archers, and the weapon from the pike-man and runs again to stand between Kynaston and the Cavalier repeating his plea of the Cavalier to search and kill the attacking mage.

=================================================================
(OOC: Tulbas doesn't search their body thoroughly, only takes the weapons that are left near them. Therefore I hope it is possible to do that in the one round and that it will prevent them from causing any real damage at round 07. If he can't carry everything he will throw it as far as possible to the dark alley).

Darga does not resist against Daxia's flailing attack, but instead continues to lead her away from the fight. "M'lady, we ain't gonna hurt you, we're here ta git ya ta somewhere safe. Ya got ta remember us, don't ya?" Realizing that even if she does remember the two of them, she might not know that they aren't allied with her captors, he adds, "Nobody's gonna sell ya ta yer death if'n we kin help it, now."

Kynaston backs away, his shield up, bleeding profusely from his wound. "So much for destiny," he mutters.

Moving quickly, Tulbas picks up the weapons that the surviving sleeping soldiers dropped; this includes the quivers from the two archers and the glaive from the pikeman. They're quite heavy, but at least the soldiers won't have their primary weapons when they wake up.

Gregeddin and Darga lead Daxia further down the alley, away from the fighting. "Wait, you're saving me?" asks Daxia incredulously. "Why didn't you cut me free, then? I could have helped."

Rather than chase after Kynaston, the cavalier turns his attention toward Kendra instead. The two exchange numerous blows, but neither is able to pierce the defenses of the other. Kendra finds it much harder to fight him when he's facing her and holding up that shield.

Haahqae hustles back up the crates, leaps for the roof and grabs the ledge, then pulls himself back up. Once there, he draws an arrow and fires at the back of the cavalier, hitting him, but it's only a scratch.

Finally, the two archers and pikeman get up to their feet, groggily rubbing at their eyes and looking around in confusion as Tulbas spell wears off.

Tulbas' Sleep spell is now ended.

Kendra takes a quick look around to notice the others waking up. She lets out a small groan of frustration as she tries to attack the cavalier again. Realizing she isn't going to have a lot of luck on the matter, she withdraws towards the north away from where the others fled.

Tulbas runs after Kendra hope to pass her by to be protected behind her, then he calls the Cavalier, "I warn you again. Tell your men to stand down before we slaughter you all." Immediately after he casts a cantrip at one of the archers making his eyes glow in reddish light.
"Fast or slow,
High or low,
Let the darkness burn
in a red glow."

"Beware, he is possessed! It might be the doings of the mage you failed to locate. Drop your weapon and slap him hard out of it, before his souls will be doomed for eternal suffering!" he blames the Cavalier.

As Tulbas uses a simple cantrip to make the northern archer's eyes appear to glow red, as if he were possessed by some spirit or magic, the remaining pikeman draws his short sword and shield and goes after Kynaston. Luckily, the warrior is able to get his shield up in time to stop the stab. He then withdraws further, toward the alley that Darga and Gregeddin escaped down.

The cavalier, confused, takes a moment away from Kendra and swings his shield at the supposedly 'possessed' soldier. He smacks him across the face, leaving a bruise. The two exchange heated words in Ergot, but nobody in the party can understand them.

The two archers, their bows gone, draw their hand axes instead and go after Kendra. However, she's easily able to evade both their attacks. Kendra, meanwhile, seeing that the cavalier has lowered his shield, goes in for an attack. However, even without the shield, his armor proves more than enough to block her sword swings entirely.

Haahqae draws an arrow and fires, striking the 'possessed' archer and killing him. He then goes after the pikeman chasing Kynaston, dropping him, as well. He reaches for a third arrow only to realize he was all out. Well, at least he still has his sling.

Meanwhile, back down the alley, Darga unties Daxia. She rubs her wrist and nods. "Okay, let's head back and show those Ergothians what I can do!"
