Jerrard does his best to rest in the cell, unable to hear he sits in silence.

Re: Tree Lords V
Imani sits in one of the corners of the cell, leaning her head up against the wall, and staring out of the bars that are holding her. At this point, she doesn't see how she is going to get the rest of them out of this situation. Though, she keeps telling herself quietly that she has to get out of this so that she can, one day, save her son from becoming a monster like his father.
Re: Tree Lords V
Deciding that there might not be another quick opporunity to get into the village unseen, Baushka drops down out of the branches, doing her best to break the fall.

Babushka drops down to the ground, skinning her knees in the process. She doesn't make much of a sound, though and after waiting a few breaths, feels confident nobody heard her or is approaching.
Re: Tree Lords V
The thin, black-and white lines on the maps are enclosures, right? Has she been able to look into the rectangular one right next to the tree she used to get over the fence?
Unless the enclosure shelters their mounts, Babushka will pass by it on the North side to get to the center of the village, her next stop being the shadow of the treesnear #9. all the time, she will look out and listen.

Re: Tree Lords V
(OOC: I actually described the enclosure you speak of when she was still up in the tree.)
Babushka creeps forward, not encountering anyone and trying to stick to the shadows. She reaches the big tree near the central building of the village and hides behind it. Taking a peek around it, she sees that the building is at least three stories tall. There are no entrances on this side of the building, but no guards, either.JadedDM wrote: [Babushka] sees a number of small homes nearby, as well as what appears to be a stable with an outdoor pen. No animals are in the pen; likely they are inside for the night.
Re: Tree Lords V
Babushka carefully moves on southward. Are there doors of the buildings open or closed, are there lights to be seen?

Re: Tree Lords V
Babushka carefully moves southward along the shore of the small lake surrounding the central building, until she comes to a small building (#10) that appears to be some kind of shop. It's locked up and dark within, though, at this hour.
She then moves further south, to a small bridge over the stream that runs down the center of the village. From here she can see the southern entrance of the building. There is no light--elves have no need for it, of course. There are, however, two elven guards standing by the door, barring entry.

Re: Tree Lords V
Carefully, Babushka slips back to continue her investigation of the layout of the village. She goes west now. Are the enclosures with the small buildings fences or walls? She will follow the path to the west, but keep close to the enclosures and buildings if possible. Can she see if there are guards at the western gate, too?

Re: Tree Lords V
The small enclosures are fences, used for keeping animals. She discovers there are two elven guards at the west gate, as well. It seems that, at least so far, the gates and the central building are guarded, but nothing else is and there are no patrols.
Re: Tree Lords V
To keep things short, we might want to cover Babushka's reconnaissance of the village quickly. She will scout through all the village and hopefully find clues to where her friends and their anumals are (her friends are most likely in the guarded building, but maybe that's just a honor guard for the village's people of power).

Re: Tree Lords V
Babushka spends the next hour carefully scouting out the village. She finds at least two elven guards at each gate into the village, and at each entrance of the central building. There are no signs of her friends or the animals. Likely, wherever the animals are being kept, they've been brought indoors during the night.

Re: Tree Lords V
After sitting there for what seems like hours, Imani finally pushes herself up and walks over to Thuskar. She could tell from the look on Jerrard's face that he was pretty miserable. "How are you holding up?" she asks him gently.
Re: Tree Lords V
Thuskar looks up in Imani's general vicinity. His eyes eerily stare straight forward. "I feel pretty useless, actually," he says quietly.

"Despite not being able to see, you are still of some use," Imani says, trying to be a little encouraging. "There just doesn't seem to be a way out of this situation at the moment."
