The bozaks don't respond. They just all (save the one trapped in webbing) begin chanting to their Dark Queen in the ancient tongue of magic.

Babushka waits for Imani and the henchmen to depart so she can see where she has a free shot at #11.

The Bozaks begin flinging spells from all directions at the party, quickly overwhelming them.

Imani reacts the fastest. She evades a beam of light and moves out of a large green gas cloud that appears around her. She reaches the nearest draconian and cuts him with her magic scimitar just as he finishes another spell. It was shortly after another draconian, the one next to her, cast a spell and tossed a bundle of rope at her. The rope came to life, wrapping itself around Imani, binding her arms and legs tightly. She drops to the ground, unable to move.

Fikod, invisible, sneaks up behind one of the bozaks and strikes--or tries to. Sadly, his blade doesn't pierce the creature's hide, but the attack nevertheless dispels his invisibility.

Protected by the magic ring Jerrard gave him, Thuskar manages to throw off spell after spell. He reaches a bozak and swings his mighty sword, but the creature ducks and evades it. Before Thuskar can try again, he's finally struck by a spell and his eyes turn completely white, robbing him of all sight. He cries out in panic, no longer able to see anything.

Babushka takes aim with her bow, but to no avail. A green gas cloud springs up around her, causing her to start coughing and gagging so much she cannot shoot. Her gnomish resistance throws off the rest of the spells flung in her direction.

While Thuskar may have managed to nearly throw off every spell flung at him, poor Ulster sits on the opposite side of the spectrum of luck. He is successfully inflicted with every single spell thrown at him, without exception. By the end, he's such a mess he can't even think, much less act or move.

Locky prays to Paladine for assistance, when suddenly she starts feeling very, very itchy. At first she thought it was just her new armor, which always itched and chafed something fierce, as she had not realized she was supposed to be wearing clothing underneath it. But this seemed different, somehow. But before she could consider whether she wanted to scratch or not, she was suddenly surrounded by beautiful flashes of light. They were so fascinating, she couldn't pull herself away. So became lost in the lights, forgetting all about how itchy she was--and for that matter, forgetting everything else around her, too. She didn't even notice when magical webbing started surrounding her, binding her to a nearby tree.

Jerrard got caught up in the same cloud of gas as Babushka, and soon was coughing and gagging on the awful smell. When the colored lights appeared around him, he became lost in them like Locky, forgetting everything else in the world, including the battle going on around him and the toxic gas cloud he was inhaling.

(OOC: This post took hours to make! Whew.

Locky cannot move or act next round, between the itching, the web and the hypnosis. Jerrard also cannot act or move, but Babushka can try to move out of the gas cloud--but she won't shake off its effects for another few rounds. Pity, too; she only failed one saving throw, and only by one point. If only Locky had cast Prayer beforehand!

Imani cannot move or act unless someone frees her or the spell is removed. The rope cannot be manually untied, but it can be cut with an attack roll against AC 6.

So it looks like it's just...Fikod, a nauseous Babushka and a blind Thuskar remaining. I wonder if I should wait for NoTrammeling to return before proceeding?)

Babushka turns tail and runs as fast as her little legs allow. Out of sight of the clearing, supposed no one follows her, she climbs up a tree, planning to wait there for a while and follow the tracks the draconians must make when carrying away their prisoners.

Fikod, seeing his entire party incapacitated for the nonce, makes a mad dash for the brush in order to lose himself into a dark hole or the like. He'd a notion that if the Draconians could be calmed and spoken to he could maybe, just maybe, persuade them not to kill the entire party. But first he had to get away.

Thuskar hears Imani's call for retreat, but can't see where he's going. He attempts to flee, but practically runs into the bozak's arms. Three of them gang up on him and quickly tackle him to the ground.

Babushka, however, has better luck. She still has her senses, she just feels nauseous. Being so little, and with the green gas cloud and the webbing offering her concealment, she manages to slip away unnoticed--especially as the bozaks have their attention focused on Thuskar and Fikod. She doesn't get too far, but she finds a tree and manages to just barely climb up it.

Fikod attempts to get away, but is blasted by two spells--both colorful streams of light. He evades the first, but the second one catches him right in the face and he is blinded. He still attempts to get away, but doesn't get too far, clumsily trying to feel his way around, moving in what he remembered to be a direction away from the bozaks before he lost his sight.

"Secure the prisoners," a Bozak says. "You five, after the dwarf. Don't let him escape!"

Fikod will attempt to imbibe his potion of persuasiveness, if he can discern what it is and drink it before the Bozaks catch up with him.

Fikod stumbles about, trying to find the potion in his pack through feeling, instead of sight. But he is too slow, and before he can find it, five bozaks dog-pile him, pinning him to the ground. "Got him!" one calls out.

Babushka watches from her vantage point, hidden in a tree, as the bozaks round up her companions, one by one, tying them up before the various spells on them wear off.

Jerrard, Locky, Imani, Ulster, Thuskar and Fikod are put back to back, all tied up, and the bozaks look them over. "Nice haul. I can't believe that trick works every time," says one.

"Better than the stupid Baazs' plan of dressing up like elves," adds another.

"Wait a second, none of these guys are elves at all. I see four humans, a dwarf, and a kender."

"The Abyss? What are the odds of that?"

"Well...should we still bring them in then?"

"Might as well. The masters might want to question them anyway. Like that Khur woman we found earlier. The one with all the horses, remember?"

"Hey, yeah. This one looks like a Khur, too. Related, maybe?"

"Who knows? Humans all look alike to me."

Slowly, the effects of the various spells start to wear off. However, there are two exceptions. Jerrard's deafness and Thuskar's blindness persist indefinitely.

Jerrard lowers his head, where there should be sound all he heard was silence.. "What..?" He asks far too loud, unable to control the volume of his voice.
