CH. 1: Haven and Hell

Haahqae raids the pantry, replacing the food he had already used or shared earlier in the day.

Gregeddin adds a ninth torch to his backpack, as well as a tinderbox. He then heads out with Darga into the wild.

Kendra takes an oil lamp, which will prove useful in refueling her lantern if it dies.

Finally, Kynaston heads out to the well and proceeds to fill his two waterskins, as well as Kendra's.

Haahqae adds three meals of hardtack to his inventory.
Gregeddin adds another torch and a tinderbox to his inventory.
Kendra adds an oil lamp to her inventory. She refills her waterskin.
Kynaston fills his two waterskins. He is now in light encumbrance (movement 8).

Setting a snare takes (2d4): 6 hours.

(OOC: Note it is currently Eighth Watch (2 PM). It will take 6 hours for Darga and Gregeddin to set up a snare. That means it won't be until Last Watch (8 PM) before they finish, long after dark has fallen. What do the rest of you want to do during this long stretch of time?

I haven't rolled for encounters yet for Darga and Gregeddin to see if they are attacked by anything during that time.)

(OOC: Haahqae wants to scout out the mine, it's what he's here for after all.)

(Kendra is going to want some of the food that was in the pantry. Otherwise, I think she'll probably to wait until the others are ready to go.)

(OoC: Kynaston has agreed to take on a job tomorrow. He told the others that they didn't have time for hunting; he also mentioned he wanted to scout the mine first. Therefore his intention is to head in with Haahqae.)

The group converges just outside the mine entrance. Someone has put up a couple of four-by-four boards up over the entrance, making an 'x.' Bear pulls them out and tosses them aside, opening up the entrance for them.

"Keep your wits about you," Bear warns. "The demons lived on the third level, at first. But by now, who can say? They might have spread all the way to the surface level."

Tightening his grasp on his axe, he turns toward the entrance. "Let's do this."
