I think Thelma was following Eloise, yes? :)

I think I may have spoken incorrectly with the Latin blessing: is it "In Domine Sancti" or "In Nomine Sancti"? In hind sight I think it may be Nomine, as in "In His name, be blessed".

Uh, don't ask me about the correct Latin phrases! That language is complicated with ever-changing endings to the words, depending on the grammatical context, and I've never learned that. I couls look up the Mass texts, but there several variants occur (again, due to context).
Anyways, it is well known that many monks and even priests were not really ggod at Latin and garbled their phrases more or less. So what you write is great!

'Sancti' is usually for saints.
"In nomine Deus benedictum" (Be blessed in the name of God)
"In nomine Patris" (In the name of the Father)

"Et Sancte Attila sublimis in manu explosivae..." (And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high...")
"No matter where you go, there you are."

Your Latin is about as good as a medieval friar's (or as mine), Stik. Just a little more fun.

Stik wrote:"So you are just day-laborers?." long pause....."Day laborers who were ready to take up arms and commit multiple murders because the old man told you to, yes? And the old man and Georg can vouch for that, but they're unconscious right now.
"Saul, Dale, Matthias, does that sound like shite to you?"
Ladies - Please forgive me for Christopher's male chauvinism (for having not asked Thelma and Eloise's opinions). He is a product of his upbringing.

I've been trying to translate that Monty Python passage into Latin to do as a calligraphy piece.

And due to all the poking around in Latin I've been doing lately, the other day, while looking at a picture of a medieval manuscript, I found myself reading it. That came as a shock.

If I may throw in my humble opinion: Most of the time, the girls have been going their own way very quickly, out of the men's earshot!

Bravo, Breila, Bravo. :)

Jen - "The General" is a young man trying to fill some very big boots: he is trying to keep everyone safe the best way he knows how. Keeping the group together and on task is part of that. So is stepping in front of everyone when four armed men charge.

I did contemplate having him ask everyone's opinion, but decided that doing so probably would not have occurred to a 19 year old squire who's spent the past two years on crusade, mostly in the company of fighting men.

The chivalric ideal calls for women, children and the aged to be protected (by the way: who are Superman's three best friends? Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, and Perry White - a woman, a boy and an old man. Hmmmm...).
Right now he sees Thelma and Eloise as ladies putting themselves in harm's way, instead of staying somewhere safe. And as a result he's forced to work twice as hard to protect them. You're frustrated he's not considering their opinions. He's frustrated the girls didn't stay home. I'm not frustrated at all - I'm just trying to walk a fine line.

He'll come around, when he sees/learns that the girls are PEOPLE that can contribute rather than LADIES needing to be protected all the time.

Dale has been trying to figure out the group, character wise. He's still a little unsure of what everybody is about. :)

Why do I feel like if this were a play Eloise would be reading lines from two pages ahead in the script?
