Reller

Desolate and abandoned, the evil alchemist’s mansion stands alone on the cliff, looking out towards the sea. Mysterious lights and ghostly hauntings have kept away the people of Saltmarsh, despite rumours of a fabulous forgotten treasure. What is its sinister secret?

Reller

Post by Kafen »

*Name: Rellor
*Race: High Elf
*Age: 117
*Apparent Age (if different): Early 30s
*Height: 4'11"
*Build/Weight: Stocky
*Hair: Brown
*Eyes: Green
*Complexion: Dark skinned
*Identifying Marks (if present): Scars on the neck from his days as an infant.
*Clothing: Worn leather jacket with canvas pants sewn from thread from a sailing ship

Personal Information:
*Personality: Outgoing and casual
*Occupation: Fisherman and burning specialist for local faarmers
*Skills and Abilities: Adept at fishing and agriculture, Signal man for local ships when needed
*Weapons Used: dagger

Background Information:
*History: Typical hedgewizard, Reller is an orphan at a young age. Remembering only his native language from infant years, he manages to make a living and life for himself as a self made caster and friend to the locals.

As a child, Reller recalls the kindness of strangers for a young child over the years. Many of the local families of fishermen help him over the years to survive the simple process of growing up. Over sixty years of watching his human friends and guardians grow old leaves him with a sense of sadness as he watches the grandchildren of people he considers parents fade away while he stays young.

So, Reller repays his debts by helping the locals with fishing, signal work for lost sailors, and supporting the local agriculture. He's known for charity with orphans and lost children. Though, he only finds homes for the children at this point.

Reller would not have seen many elves in this village from the sounds of it. What tribes and types of elves would he know? :)

Huh, good question. Especially since this GM has to look up the book of elves to give you an answer ;) .

He will know Sea Elves (probably be aquainted with a few who live in the area) and his own subrace (High Elf, I suppose). He will have heard about Sylvan Elves in the dense forests far to the South, and rumors about the evil Drow that live in caverns below the earth.

And of course, he knows that Elves and humans can interbreed.

I figure Reller would be naive about the races for the most part. He's lived with humans for so long that he's missed out on a lot of Elven history. I am trying to avoid the normal attitudes towards the other races.

Does Reller know Master Soulstaff enough to arrange an audience?

From what you had told me in the "preliminaries", Reller had rather avoided Soulstaff, kept out of his turf, so I'd rather say "no", see my post in the game thread.

When Reller arrives at Kristina's and tells her about the house the group has been offered, she smiles and says. "Oh, that'll be old Serena's house. They're going to need quite a few things to make that habitable, her heirs have picked it bare. Let's go over there and help them a bit."

She gathers a few candles and moves to the door. "Coming?" she asks.

Reller gives a her a gentle look and asks. "Should we bring anything else?" Moving with her, he helps carry the stuff.

Kristina looks back at Reller. "I don't have much to spare, and I don't know what's left in the house" she says. "But I could show people where they can get what they need."

"I was thinking of stopping by the market and picking up some oil and lamps." Reller tells her. "House warming gift, of sorts. They will have to get the food."

(( Reller will get three lamps with oil for the group. ))
