"Indeed, although we may only be scratching the surface here," Dalaim admits. "But I suspect this building might be a temple, and there's no telling what manner of religious icons might be within. Plus, it may shed some light on the mystery of this island and its people."

"The only issue at hand is it a good location for a camp. We can explore more later." Val waits until the scouts return.

Ouragana looks at Maua. Does she behave like this place was important or sacred to her? How does she react to the gnome and elf entering it?

(OOC: I was under the impression Ouragana tied up Maua's legs and left her back at the edge of the ruins. In which case, she's 90 feet away and it's far too dark for Ouragana to see her at all.)

Moving quietly, Arei lets the Gnome lead, he was more skilled at looking for hidden items than she was.

"Sacrifices, I'd say we have found the rest of the crew...?" Turning her head to look at the writing she curses in elven. "We need our friendly Mage, do you see anything that looks dangerous?" She asks.

"Nah," Grey says, taking one last look around. "Looks safe for now."

"Do you want to get the others? Or at least Ourgana and the Kohen? They should see this." She suggests, moving closer to the altar, what sort of skulls could they be, size wise?

The skulls appear very old, but it's clear from their slender shape, they once belonged to elves.

Grey steps out to the others and gestures. "It's clear," he says.

Jocelyn nods to the gnome and moves to step inside the temple.

"My people..." Arei mutters, ensuring she does not disturb the skulls. "Perhaps this is where the dagger came from.... I wonder...?" Using her Elven sight she scans the area, looking for something hidden.

"Should we go get our captive before we set-up camp?" Val checks back to seek her heat signature.

Val looks back to where Maua was left, and sees her on the ground, struggling against her bonds. Dalaim, however, quickly enters the temple, unable to contain his excitement any further.

"Fascinating, just utterly fascinating," the old cleric says as he looks around the temple like a kid in a candy store. At once, he begins examining the pictographs on the walls.

Areilon carefully searches the room, but finds nothing secret or concealed.

"Hmmmm... What do they say?" Arei asks finishing with her search. "The skulls are my people, a sad end."

"This language seems somewhat similar to another dialect I know--one of the oldest dialects of human language known, actually," Dalaim comments. "Could it be...that the language these people speak is, in fact, the root language that all other human tongues evolved from? That could explain why I couldn't understand it!" This idea seems to excite the old dwarf even further. "I may be able to translate these writings, but it will take some time. A few hours, at best."

"We could make camp here, or in the entrance." Arei suggests, giving a glance to the young Cleric, "We could we defend this place."
