Ouragana shrugs. "She said she fancied a walk. I'm not her warden, am I? Anyways, she seems to be able to look after herself.

So why don't you introduce us to your newfound friend?"
She smiles at the halfling.

"Sure thing." Arei grins, "Is he one of the ones who fought with the other Elf?" Placing a silver on the bar. "What about that drink?"

"Yeah, he was one of the first to throw a punch, actually," the bartender says. "But she ducked and he decked some other guy instead. Then before you know it, everyone's brawling." Taking her silver, he refills her mug with ale.

Areilon spends a silver piece on an ale.

"It figures." Arei grins, sipping the drink, the petite elf looking totally out of place in her flimsy dress, the white fabric sticking to her backside as she leans over the bar.

"So, what do you know of these Ruins? Has anyone here expressed an interest?" She asks, scanning the bar once more.

Being a petite elf, it doesn't take long before Areilon starts to get a bit of a buzz from all of this ale.

"Ruins? What ruins are you talking about?" asks the bartender as he wipes down the bar with an already dirty rag.

=============

Areilon makes a CON check at a -4 penalty (1d20): 10, fail. She is now 'slightly intoxicated.'

Slight Intoxication warrants the following adjustments: -1 to INT, -1 to WIS, +1 to morale and a 25% chance of spell failure (the last two don't affect Areilon, as a PC and a non-spell caster, of course). This will last 1d4 hours, although a Cure Light Wounds spell, healing nwp and/or herbalism nwp can speed up recovery.

"Ahh, no matter." She giggles, her head feeling slightly fuzzy, "Niccceh Ale." She slurs, "I'm a sailor you know, don't let the dress fool you." Giggling more she rests her elbows on the bar. "I fear all this drink is going to my head."

"A sailor, eh? You on shoreleave then? Never knew a sailor who couldn't hold her ale. Maybe you want to switch to something weaker?" the bartender asks. "Got some beer if the ale's too strong for you."

Giggling once more she shakes her head, "One more and I guess I should be heading back, lets hope this killer is busy with other things today." She says as she places one more Silver on the bar. "Not exactly built for this sort of drink am I now?" She laughs out loud, staggering at the bar, nearly falling, but grabbing the bar to steady herself. "I am between jobs, taking a rest from the sea."

Taking the coin, the bartender refills her mug once again. "By Renos, I'd say not," he agrees with some amusement. "Good thing I didn't give you any whiskey, or you'd probably be passed out by now."

===========

Areilon spends one silver piece on another pint of ale.

"Yes, that would be bad.." Sniggering she sips the drink slowly, the taste wasn't too bad, if somewhat strong. "If... IF I wanted to find somewhere quiet round this plache, somewhere secluded, where would I go?" She slurs, taking a long sip.

"Hmm, well the windmill for one. Nobody really goes there anymore because of the murders," the bartender says. "Likely you might run into the miller or his family, but even they tend not to hang around too much, out of fear of suspicion. Other than that...I dunno, maybe the lighthouse? I don't think anyone ever really goes there; not much need to."

==============

Areilon makes a CON check at a -2 penalty (1d20): 4, pass. She does not become any more intoxicated than she is now.

Grinning the Elf taps her head, "Of course, where else, silly me." She giggles and offers her hand, "Thank you, you may call this a dive, but thank you." Spinning awkwardly for a brief moment she heads for the door.

Areilon steps outside onto the streets of Narin, to find that it's late afternoon, or at least judging from the position of the sun.

(Sorry if I am rambling, there was a point to that.)

Heading towards the Keep she staggers slightly and looks to see if there is a path to the lighthouse.

There does appear to be a direct path to the lighthouse, but it involves crossing the keep's courtyard to reach it. This may explain why few people go there.
