Pre-Game

????
The world is created. How this was done and by whom depends largely on who you ask.

-5000
Elven society develops, using magic to help grow cities from the earth itself.

-4000
Dwarven society develops, using metalworks and technology to hollow out entire mountains for living space.

-3000
The elves form the Ruara Empire (which means “House of Dreams”) and begin spreading their civilization all over the main continent. At about the same time, the dwarves begin forming their own underground empire called Farikak.

-2000
The Ruara Empire spreads over nearly the entire main continent, while the dwarves have taken over most of what is underneath it. Building ships, the elves sail out and find a series of islands that are inhabited by a new race never seen before—humans. They enslave these humans, under the notion of helping them, and consequently spread them all over the world in the process.

-1000
Halfling society develops, mostly agricultural. They become serfs for the elves, working the farms for them.

-900
Dwarves wind up encroaching on the goblinoid races. A long war starts between the two, later called the Ha’Kur War. Eventually, the goblinoids fall back to what is now Renosia and manage to hold up there.

-700
The hobgoblins organize, forming the Malice Dynasty, and take over what is now Renosia. They recruit the bugbears, goblins, gnolls, kobolds, and other races that have been driven from their homes, in the hopes of putting down the dwarven and elven empires once and for all.

-500
Gnomish society develops. They wind up becoming integrated into dwarven society, treated as servants and second-class citizens.

-300
The Malice Dynasty declares war on the Ruara Empire. This is later to be called the Malreth War. It is a long and bloody affair, ending with the Dynasty retreating back to Renosia. The Elven victory is generally attributed to their use of powerful magic, something the goblinoids lack.

-200
The Dynasty spends years learning sorcery. When they feel they are ready, they attack Ruara again. This time, however, they summon armies of demons from the underworld to aid them. This is an even bloodier conflict than the last, called the Malinar War. Even with the help of the dwarven empire, the battle ends in a stalemate, both sides weakened to the point that they are nearly wiped out.

-150
The humans rebel against their elven masters, in what is called the Dre’Ar Insurrection. The halflings and gnomes aid them in this venture, and the empires are far too weak from the wars to put up much resistance.

-100
A new empire forms, called Eonia (meaning “Eternity”) in which the humans rule. It spreads throughout the entire continent and the local islands, conquering everything. Using the magic they inherited from the elves and the technology from the dwarves, they even form a flying city (Infinity) to be the seat of the empire, where no enemy can reach without the power of flight. The Eonians grow so powerful, that supposedly they even tame the dragons, giving them aerial mastery.

000
Chrysote 4th - Carnage War begins. An apocalyptic event that nearly wiped out all life in the world.

001
Saffir 28th - Carnage War ends. The world is left in shambles.

179
Topas 10th - Brock Brewmaster (Henchman) is born.

Arc 01

312
Agate 15, Frostday - Dahn recruits Jocelyn, Ouragana, Areilon and Val to help him with a job. Birdmen are stealing the livestock of Narin's farmers, and one in particular, Chester, wants their help in exterminating the pests, as the Wardens are too busy to deal with it right now. Dahn and Areilon acquire the Warden's blessings, and the group sets off. After traveling through the mountains, they come across a single Aarakocra doing battle with a jaguar. At first, the party attacks the Aarakocra (named Koh'kra), but then they decide to help him instead and focus their attacks on the jaguar. After saving and healing Koh'kra, they find he doesn't understand any language they know. But he does lead them back to his nest, where they meet with his mother and chieftain, who can speak Common (just barely). The party discovers the Aarakocra don't mean to steal, they just don't realize the difference between wild game and farmer property. They also discover the Wardens attacked them a week ago, so they slew two of them and stuck their heads on pikes as a warning. After clearing this up and having a big meal with the Aarakocra, the party got some rest for the night.

Agate 16, Darkday - Before departing, the Aarakocra chieftain hands over a jade carving of a bird as a peace offering and agrees to allow the party to return someday, so long as their intentions are peaceful. Ouragana recognizes the item as very ancient, and Areilon appraises it at being worth 1,300 GP. Koh'kra leads the group back down the mountains without incident (save for a brief thunderstorm) and then returns home after saying good-bye. The party heads to Chester's farm with the good news, but the old farmer is upset that they failed to kill the Aarakocra like he asked. Furious, he demands they leave his property. While Val goes fishing with her pet orca, Mist, the others return to town, sore and tired. Areilon asks around and discovers the town jeweler, a boorish gnome named Hubert, is at the inn tonight. He agrees to pay 1,500 GP for the item, but she jerks him around and leads the lusty gnome on. Once he realizes she isn't going to put out, he becomes annoyed and kicks her out of his place, claiming he is only willing to pay 1,200 GP for it now. Meanwhile, Jocelyn reunites with her mentor and Ouragana and Val head straight to bed.

Agate 17, Lightday - The party awakes the next day, and Jocelyn makes a beeline for the bartender, Brock, and learns from him some possible new jobs for the party to take. Areilon notices a female elf in the inn and goes to speak to her. She learns her name was Tialis and she is investigating the murders in town to make the Wardens look bad. Jocelyn wants to tell the others about the jobs she found, but the rest of the group goes to the Wardens to report what happened yesterday. The captain, Thorola Highlaw, is glad they resolved the issue, but disappointed that the party failed to please the farmers and that they never once showed their badges to the farmers. She revoks their deputy status and takes the badges back. After that, the party sells the jade carving to the jeweler, Hubert Diamondeye, for 1,200 gold pieces. They return to the inn and split this up evenly among the five of them. They then discuss the options Jocelyn discovered. Unable to decide, the party splits up. Ouragana and Val go shopping, Dahn stays behind to drink, Areilon goes to investigate the murders and Jocelyn goes to speak with the local priest of Gonto. The Kohen (priest), an old dwarf named Dalaim Truestone, explains that an uncharted island was recently discovered that held ancient ruins. The ruins are inhabited by violent tribals, however. The Kohen wants to hire the party to help him infiltrate the ruins and explore them. The party reunites and talks. Jocelyn wants to take the Kohen's job, but Areilon wants to solve the murders. The party votes, four-to-one in favor of exploring the ruins. Despite this, though, they decide to investigate the murders for the rest of the day anyway. The party, save Dahn, head to the windmill, but don't find much more than Areilon did. They speak to the miller and learn a bit more, but are no where close to solving the mystery. Dahn, meanwhile, speaks to a halfling bard, Pearl, about the murders--but he doesn't find out much, either. Afterward, Areilon goes off alone to the Barnacle Inn, gets drunk, then stumbles back to the inn. Val goes for a swim while Ouragana and Dahn leave to talk (and practice) magic.

Agate 18, Rockday - The party awakes in the morning and heads straight to the docks where they meet with the kohen, as well as Oren Hammerfeld (another warrior hired for the expedition) and Captain Boffi Scragsplitter of the Lucky Mermaid. Introductions are made all around. The captain warns them the island is cursed, but the kohen insists they ignore him. Oren recognizes the ship, a sohar merchant vessel, was once called the Lusty Mermaid, but the captain changed it to ward off the bad luck of the island. Val gives a piercing whistle, summoning Mist to follow the boat--much to the amazement of the rest of the party. The rest of the day passes uneventfully as the party sails 250 miles to the west.

Agate 19, Seaday - The Lucky Mermaid continues its voyage, traveling 200 miles to the south. At 10:00 PM that night, Areilon (who agrees to be lookout) spots the island on the horizon. The captain drops anchor and tells the party they'll have to row out to the island themselves. There is a brief discussion on whether they should wait for morning, when the humans can see, or go now, under cover of darkness. Eventually, it is decided to wait for a couple of hours before dawn, then go.

Agate 20, Soulday - At 4:00 AM, the party sets out. Everyone save Ouragana and Jocelyn have infravision, so they don't have too much trouble finding their way. They come across 11 corpses hanging in the trees, all dwarven and gnomish--likely the remains of the crew that were left behind last time. Deciding they would come back for the bodies later, they pushed on. After half an hour, they found a trail leading deeper into the island. Shortly after following it, they come across a large statue of a demon head with three eyes. Dalaim is excited and sees it as a sign they are on the right track. Pushing on, though, they are suddenly ambushed by a dozen tribals in the trees, armed with bows! After a vicious battle, all of the tribals are defeated, but Areilon is nearly killed, as well. The party heals up the best they can and pushes onward, such tension between Areilon/Ouragana and Jocelyn as the healer was fairly critical of both of their performances in the battle. After another couple of hours, the sun came up and the party stopped when Val smelled cooked fish. Grey scouted ahead and discovered a group of four tribals at a campsite with tents and a fire, cooking fish and having a good time. The party argued in circles, unsure how to proceed, until Dalaim stepped in and came up with a plan himself. The battle started well, but toward the end things started to get desperate. Val was knocked unconscious and only at the last minute did things turn around when Grey and Jocelyn jumped in with their magic to turn the tide. Two of the tribals were taken prisoner and tied up. After resting and healing up, the party discussed what to do with the tribals. Dalaim animated the two dead ones, the living but unconscious one was left behind, and Ouragana insisted on bringing the living, conscious one with them in hopes of learning to communicate with her. She did discover the tribal was named Maua. The party pushes on, Maua in tow, through the jungle. It takes them the rest of the day until they reach the center of the island, and discover a small city of ruins. Spotting a nearby temple, the party made their way there in hopes of camping there for the night. Grey and Areilon scouted it, discovering a bloody altar and elf skulls, but nobody around. Once the party is inside, they make camp. There are writings on the wall, which Dalaim vaguely recognizes as being similar to the oldest known human language dialect. He concludes this means the tribals on the island may be a branch-off of the original humans, untouched for hundreds of years. Dalaim starts to translate right away, but is interrupted by the party numerous times. Around 2AM, he finally finishes. It turns out the script is a chronicle of the island's history. It claims the first contact with the elves was a bloody affair (according to the elves, it was quite peaceful). The humans prayed to a god with three eyes for salvation, and the god drove off the elves, eating their souls with its third eye. It then gave the humans a 'heart' to protect the island from future invaders.

Agate 21, Flameday - The next morning, the party has breakfast and prays for spells. Grey, still on watch, warns them two tribals are approaching. The party attempts to parley with them, using Maua as a hostage, but it fails. A fight breaks out, but nobody is seriously hurt thanks to Dalaim’s zombies doing most of the work. When the fight is over, Ouragana begins having doubts about the mission, but the others are still dedicated, so Dalaim animates the two dead tribals and the party moves on. They find a building that reeks of booze and enter, finding a few hung-over and passed out tribals that had apparently had quite an orgy the previous night. The party also found a ceremonial drum, which Dalaim quickly took, to the party’s disagreement. Maua begins shouting to wake up the drunken tribals, but to no end. The party quickly departs and heads south, but stops cold in their tracks when they hear children’s voices. They backtrack back north instead, and come across a building guarded by two tribals. Maua quickly shouts to the guards, and a battle breaks out. One the guards are defeated, the party discovers a civilized human held captive inside the building. He says he is Andar, the only surviving crew member of the Lusty Mermaid that had been left behind. Andar explains that the tribals are mad and evil, and were using him to help repopulate their own race as they are so inbred that they cannot birth healthy children on their own anymore and their numbers are dwindling due to constant sacrifices to their demon god. An argument breaks out among the party members on whether they should go after the heart (which Andar confirms is a ruby the size of a man’s head) or not. Tired of Ouragana’s pleas for compassion, Val simply snaps Maua’s neck to end the debate. Ouragana is brought to tears and demands to leave at once. Areilon quickly sides with her. Not wanting to risk the whole party’s lives if they weren’t fully committed, Dalaim agrees to head back to the ship with them, abandoning the heart for now. But he promises to return with a full expedition; now that he knows there is something of value on the island, he can get the funding he needs. Once back on the ship, the captain welcomes back Andar and sets sail immediately. Ouragana broods most of the time, as does Val, but for very different reasons.

Agate 22, Frostday - The party rests on the Lucky Mermaid as it sails back toward Narin. It rains a lot.

Agate 23, Darkday - A sahuagin raiding party attacks the Lucky Mermaid, killing most of the crew. The party helps in driving them off, though and when their chieftain is slain, the rest flee.

Agate 24, Lightday - The party temporarily joins the crew of the Mermaid as they sail back to Narin.

Agate 25, Rockday - The Lucky Mermaid contines its voyage back to Narin.

Agate 26, Seaday - After a long day of nothing happening, the Lucky Mermaid finally pulls into the port of Narin. The party discovers that the murderer has struck again. This time the victim was Maronna Brewmaster, the daughter of Brock, the innkeeper of the Paragon Inn.

Agate 27, Soulday - The following day, Jocelyn speaks with Brock and comforts him, helping him snap out of a drunken stupor. The party becomes determined to solve the murders before another person dies. They questions a number of people, including the families of the victims and the staff of both inns. They then proceed to question all of the most desirable bachelors in town and check out the local waterfall for clues, but these all turn out to be dead ends. The party checks the body of Maronna and speaks to the kohen. He claims he interrogated one of the victims who spoke gibberish about 'iron skin, diamond eyes, and many blades.' The party splits up and goes to speak with Frisno and Hubert. The party speculates one (or both) may be the murderer(s), because of their surnames (Tinskin, Diamondeyes). Jocelyn awkwardly hits on Hubert but still manages to get a date for the following night. Ouragana and Frisno speak a bit about her magic dagger, but nothing much comes from it. The party goes for bed for the night. At midnight, a pair of clockwork spiders break into the suite and attack. The party manages to destroy them. Brock and a few others show up at the scene. After the party explains to him what happened, he agrees to help them. He pulls out some old knickknacks from his adventuring days, giving Areilon a set of lock picks, Val a healing potion, Ouragana an old Wand of Magic Missiles and Jocelyn a Ring of Protection. The four slip out into the night and head for the clockmaker's house, doing their best to avoid warden patrols. They spot a clockwork spider entering Frisno's place from the chimney. Areilon fails to pick the lock, so Val just kicks the door open. Exploring a bit, they find Frisno's bedroom and three more spiders. As they fight, a fourth one attempts to sneak up on Jocelyn. After finishing them off, they discover a secret door underneath the rug leading to a cellar. Descending within, they find Frisno and six more spiders. Frisno admits to being the murderer and intends to do likewise with the party. A battle breaks out, and Jocelyn falls. Tialis, invisible, sneaks up on Frisno and stabs him from behind, killing him. She then stole all of his money and disappeared again, leaving the party to finish mopping up the spiders. After the battle, the wardens rushed in and arrested the party for vigilantism, violating curfew, and breaking and entering--and possibly for Frisno's murder. None of the party would blame Tialis, but insisted they had not killed him, either. The wardens decided to have the kohen interrogate Frisno's spirit, and locked the party up for the night.

Agate 28, Flameday - The party is brought breakfast. After eating, they are brought before the warden captain. She tells them that the charges of murder have been dropped, as Frisno's spirit confessed. Tialis has taken credit for Frisno's murder, but has eluded capture. The captain then gives the party a choice; they can attempt to go to trial for their three other crimes or they can take a plea bargain--they admit to the crimes and are banished for a year. The party accepts and returns to the inn to take baths, clean up, and say good-bye to Brock. The party then heads to the docks and finds the Bullring, a galleon ship captained by a rough-and-tumble dwarf named Sierra Bullring. They also met her more laid-back sister and first mate, Terra. After a brief tour, the party is told they are free to do what they like until the ship departs. Ouragana goes to speak with the ship's storm sorcerer, Thaddeus, and helps him plot a course to northern Mond. Val goes swimming with Mist. Jocelyn and Areilon just walk to the deck and talk a little. The Bullring departs and the girls are sent to their jobs. Jocelyn is ordered to the galley to peel potatoes, Areilon to the rigging, Ouragana to assist Thaddeus, and Val to help train marines on the bombard deck. That evening, they are relieved of their duties and prepare to visit the captain's quarters for dinner. The girls had a good time, discussing their pasts and futures with the sisters and enjoying the good food and wine. Then they went to bed for the night.

Agate 29, Frostday - The following day, that afternoon, a ship was spotted heading for the Bullring. Three small black dragons circled it. Realizing they were Soulbiters, pirate orcs who served black dragons, the crew prepared for an attack. They managed to shoot down two dragons, but not before losing a catapult to their breath weapons. The third dragon dived into the water and started scuttling the ship from below. Val mounted Mist and engaged it, but nearly died. Luckily, Areilon, using the Potion of Flying, saved her and scared off the dragon. The Bullring chased down the caravel, called the Nightmare, and boarded. In the end, the Bullring won, but with massive losses. Once both ships were secured, Sierra offered the party a reward for their help--one gold bar each (worth 500 gp a piece).

Agate 30, Darkday - Val and Areilon join the crew of the Bullring.

Ruebon 03, Seaday - Jocelyn and Noah return to Sanctuary and Jocelyn is reviewed by a holy council to determine if she is ready to be inducted as a full clergy member of the church. Although there are doubts, they decide to make her a pastor as a trial run and give her the parish in Condeltun on the island of Hashadeth. Val buys some potions while the Bullring is docked in Sanctuary.

Ruebon 08, Lightday - Ouragana returns to the Storm Sorcery Academy. There she meets with her old mentor, Colette Parish and tells her about her misadventures and her doubts on whether she did the right thing or not. Ouragana turns 19 years old.

Sardonx 01, Seaday - Val leaves the crew of the Bullring, departing at the town of Luna on the island of Mond. She apprentices herself under a leatherworker and starts to learn how to use the dagger. Areilon turns 103 years old.

Sardonx 17, Flameday - After training, Jocelyn is brought to Condletun and shown her new temple and parish.

Sardonx 24, Flameday - Jocelyn hires an accountant for her temple, a half-elf named Linwood.

Chrysote 01, Flameday - Val builds a saddle for Mist and starts bumming around the islands.

Chrysote 05 - Rockday - Jocelyn is faced with a moral dilemma, and is unable to make a firm decision, which results in a loss of temple donations.

Turquise 10, Rockday - Jocelyn starts offering free therapy to the locals of Condletun.

Onix 24, Soulday - Yuletide. Jocelyn throws a big party for the village of Condletun, paying most of it out of pocket.

313
Bludsin 29, Lightday - Val turns 17 years old.

Saffir 10, Darkday - Jocelyn turns 20 years old.

Arc 02

313
Ruebon 02, Rockday - The party reunites after a year apart in Condletun of Hashadeth. An assassin makes an attempt on Jocelyn's life, but is thwarted. Jocelyn reveals she used to be part of the crew of a pirate ship, the Poison Curse. She was a lover to Captain Ethan Beaumont and when he died, she was blamed. She joined the clergy to escape the pirates, but they've found her again. Baeros and Andar join the party.

Ruebon 03, Seaday - The party sets off for Tu'Valie by walking an old nature trail there. They find a statue of a feather snake and Andar tells them it's probably 2,000 years old, from before elves arrived on the islands. Shortly after, they find a buck and shoot it for the meat. When they camp for the night, they cook the meat. That night, Val and Areilon heard buzzing insects near the camp. When they investigate, they find giant mosquitoes being eaten by giant frogs. The three frogs them attack the camp, and the party fights them off barely, due to their chaotic natures and inability to work together.

Ruebon 04, Soulday - The party continues their trek toward Tu'Valie.

Ruebon 05, Flameday - The party continues their trek toward Tu'Valie.

Ruebon 06, Frostday - The party realizes they are nearly out of food and discuss their options. They press on, and come across the dead elf woman on the trail with large red welts on her skin. Areilon searches her and finds a journal and a box with 500 platinum pieces in it. Frightened that whatever killed her will appear again, the party quickly presses on. They make camp that night, but find no game while hunting--everything is dead with red welts on their skin.

Ruebon 07, Darkday - The party encounters a swarm of stirges that swoop down upon them. The party fights them off, but Andar falls and Thunder dies, leaving them without a horse. The extra encumbrance adds several days to their journey.

Ruebon 08, Lightday - The party continues their trek toward Tu'Valie.

Ruebon 09, Rockday - The party continues their trek toward Tu'Valie.

Ruebon 10, Seaday - The party continues their trek toward Tu'Valie.

Ruebon 11, Soulday - While hunting, Baeros encounters a couatl in the woods. He leaves it alone. Later that evening, they prepare to set camp when a blink pup appears, trying to lead them somewhere. They follow it deeper into the woods and encounter its poisoned mother. An ettercap attacks, and the party slays it, but not before Baeros and Andar are bitten. Fortunately, they both manage to survive the poison. The party adopts the blink pup after its mother dies.

Ruebon 12, Flameday - The party continues their trek toward Tu'Valie.

Ruebon 13, Frostday - The party arrives in Tu'Valie. They check in to the Queen of Harts, the most expensive and luxurious inn in the city and get baths and meals. There they meet Captain Saren of the Seleya, a priest of Octhanus. They have dinner with he and his bridge crew and agree to pay him to take them to Mond in hopes of catching the Bullring there.

Ruebon 14, Darkday - The party shops and readies for their trip to Mond. Val also buys several crates of weapons and armor to help fuel the war in Mond for profit. The party sets sail aboard the Seleya to reach the city of Deimos in southern Mond.

Ruebon 15, Lightday - The party continues their trek toward Deimos.

Ruebon 16, Rockday - The party arrives at Deimos. Deimos is burning, under attack from the League. The party heads into the city to try and help those in need during the battle. They discover there are monsters and mad mages on the loose and the citizens themselves are fighting each other. They also come across Brock and Tialis fighting each other, the former fighting against the League and the latter working for them as a mercenary. They teamed up with Brock and let Tialis go and took several villagers prisoner. However, the prisoners escape when the party is attacked by some Red Slaadi. Areilon and Andar are severely injured in the fight, so the party withdraws back to the Seleya. On the way back, though, they run into the two mages behind the attack. They had animated a number of dead, including a dragon. The party realized they were outmatched, and so hid while the mages and zombies mounted the dragon and then flew off to the south. When they returned to the ship, they found it being attacked by zombies. There was a long fight, but in the end, Saren arrived to save them. He revealed most of the party had been infected by the Slaadi, but he was able to cure them all, save Areilon and Andar who were too wounded.

At the same time, the Bullring is heading toward Deimos. Gallath is aboard and he discovers that three of the crew are secretly working for the League. He shares his suspicions with the captain and first mate and agrees to investigate if he can find proof. However, he only chats with her a little before returning to his animals, his horse and falcon. That night, the ship was attacked by a skeletal dragon that dropped off a number of zombies onto the deck. Gallath helped in fighting them off.

Ruebon 17, Seaday - The Bullring arrives to find Deimos a smoking ruin. Sierra meets with Terra and the party joins in. Saren explains what happened to the city. The party boards the Bullring and says farewell to Saren. Jocelyn explains to Sierra that she wants to fight the Poison Curse. Sierra agrees if the party helps them track down a powerful weapon on a forgotten island found on that Eonian map they discovered a year ago. The party agrees. The Bullring sets off for Narin to resupply. That night, the party has dinner with the Bullring sisters again.

Ruebon 18, Soulday - The Bullring arrives in Narin. Jocelyn, Brock and Baeros head to the temple of Narin to pay respects to Brock's family. While there, they learn Kohen Truestone has gone missing months ago, after returning to the island with the demon worshiping tribals. Baeros tries to propose an alliance with the churchs of Gonto and Octhanus against the League. Ouragana discovers Koh'kra wandering the marketplace, but is still unable to communicate with him. She brings him to the Paragon where Gallath is asking the bartender vague questions and Val is drinking heavily. Dahn/Grey shows up unexpectedly and rejoins the group.

Ruebon 19, Flameday - The party sails on the Bullring to Wyvern Island.

Ruebon 20, Frostday - The party sails on the Bullring to Wyvern Island.

Ruebon 21, Darkday - The party sails on the Bullring to Wyvern Island.

Ruebon 22, Lightday - The party sails on the Bullring to Wyvern Island.

Ruebon 23, Rockday - The party sails on the Bullring to Wyvern Island.

Ruebon 24, Seaday - The party sails on the Bullring to Wyvern Island.

Ruebon 25, Soulday - The party reaches Wyvern Island and take rowboats to reach the shore. Thaddeus asks to go with them. Once on the beach, however, they are attacked by three starving trolls. Val is nearly killed, but they manage to destroy two of the trolls and frighten off the last one. The party tracks it down to its lair but decide to continue on to the mansion instead of entering the cave. They run into an elf named Drav who claims he was marooned on the island 30 years ago. Drav takes them back to his cave to rest, but it's too small so the party decides to head to just rest by the mansion. They make camp not far from the mansion, by a large lake. Baeros, Granite and Drav go on a scouting mission, circling the mansion, then return to the others. Baeros fishes and Brock makes a stew. Thaddeus informs the group he is in an arranged marriage and Ouragana confesses she is in love with him.

Ruebon 26, Flameday - The party approaches the mansion and try to find a way inside. They pick the lock on the front door but trigger a fireball trap that leaves them all badly injured and dazed. Blue ogres speaking an alien language appear around them along with some hellhounds. The party surrenders and is quickly captured. They are brought before an elder who casts a translation spell so they can communicate. He seems to think the Eonian Empire still exists. The party learns these ogres are descendants of experiments the Wyvern used to run here. Gallath, Jocelyn and Ouragana offer to help the ogres get off the island if they cooperate. Unsure, but willing to consider it, the elder decides to lock the party up in the pantry until the morning. Later, a human woman named Izana who only speaks Eonian arrives to give them food (fried troll meat). She claims to be descended from the Wyvern's servants and lives with the Oni. The party speaks with her for some time, telling her about themselves and asking her questions.

Ruebon 27, Frostday - The next morning the party is told by the elder oni that they have decided to let the party ascend to the second floor. They reveal 'Izana' is actually one of their own, as oni have the ability to shapechange into other people. The elder warns that if the party fails or tries to betray the oni, they will take their shapes and pose as them to return to the ship. The party ascends to the second floor. They enter a hallway with suits of armor standing at attention lining it. There is also a big chessboard on the wall with four pieces missing. They trigger a trap that causes two of the armors to come to life and attack them. After defeating them, the party finds more traps to trigger more statues and avoid them, but Granite triggers another attack by touching one of the armors. The gnome is nearly killed in the process, but the party manages to take down the two armors and head into a study. There they find three magical items (Bracers of Light Healing, Flametongue Long Sword and Cloak of the Wolf), as well as a heart key, a bishop plug and a recording from the Wyvern about Zera Doubloon, the infamous ancient pirate (who was apparently his lover). Once back in the hall, they trigger another trap and fight two more armors. They return to the study to rest a bit before opening a new door, this one to a master bedroom. In here they find three more magical items (Lightning Dagger, Shawl of Protection and Demonward Bracelet), as well as a club key, a knight plug and another recording from the Wyvern, this one mentioning extraplanar creatures and a dimensional anchor. Next they discover a room that once held the troll experiments before they broke out. They find a magical quiver that coats arrows with acid, then turn to the next room, finding an old library. Inside is an imp named Kaakos who seems quite surprised to see the party. Kaakos was the Wyvern's familiar and has been trapped in the mansion since the Wyvern vanished over 300 years ago due to the dimensional anchor. He explains that there is also a kyton (chain devil) and planetar (an angel) locked up in the lab, but the kyton escaped, has gone mad and tortures the planetar each night. To defeat the kyton, the party needs to enter the vault with all four chess pieces and disable the anchor. But one of the pieces is in the lab, with the kyton. The party goes into the lab to face the kyton but find it can magically control all of the chains in the room. Ouragana dispels all magic in the room, but it has more of an effect on herself and her allies than on the kyton. She then throws up a web that captures the kyton, but also Baeros. Both manage to slowly break free, but it buys Jocelyn time to find the hammer Kaakos spoke of. When she strikes the kyton with it, it disintegrates. This allows the party to enter the vault, disable the anchor and find the cannon. When the planetar comes to, she offers them a boon. Jocelyn and Ouragana ask to send the Oni back home. The party then returns to the Bullring to report. While everyone goes down to rest, Ouragana opens the book she found earlier and is cursed to lose all of her magic.

She meets the acolytes and takes a tour of the place. Then a tour of the town. When she returns to the temple she realizes Agnas has not returned yet. Immediately suspecting something is wrong, she grabs Leena and goes looking for her. She learns from Pearl at the Barnacle that some Leaguers tricked Agnas into going with them. They have a hideout in an abandoned mine to the east of town. Naras recruits Pearl and Leena and decides to go there tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Naras, Pearl and Leena head to the Cinderfell mine but find it is guarded by an armed warrior. They kill him and go inside. They kill many more Leaguers inside, slowly making their way through. They find Agnas, but she is dead. Naras slays the rest of the Leaguers inside, save for two. One she takes prisoner and the other, a powerful air genasi calling himself the Son of Crizza, teleports away. He claims he is starting a war between the League and Narin, and that by killing most of his men, Naras has helped him in his cause. Naras gathers everything not nailed down and her prisoner and heads back to town with Leena and Pearl. They are stopped by the wardens when they get there and brought in for questioning.

An argument ensues between Naras and Jocelyn due to their conflicting beliefs but eventually an arrangement is made. The party does some shopping then heads to the Bullring for dinner with the captain and first mate. It doesn't go well and quickly falls apart.

Sardonx 7, Rockday - The party returns to the temple to remove Ouragana's curse. The ritual is successful. Ouragana then meets with Thaddeus to ask him to identify Naras' items in return, but he is far too busy and suggests she do it herself. Ouragana also learns some new spells from the Wyvern's spellbook. Val shows up and gives her the ring she found at the mansion. Meanwhile, Naras ties up loose ends.

Sardonx 8, Seaday - The party, including Naras, board the Bullring. Jocelyn admits she didn't think to ask the captain if Naras could come, but since she helped Ouragana, Sierra allows it. The Bullring sets sail for Deimos. Along the way, Ouragana identifies all of Naras' magical items.

Sardonx 9, Soulday - The Bullring continues its voyage. Ouragana realizes that the arcane equations for the fireball spell are very similar to some of the ones etched onto the cannon.

Sardonx 10, Flameday - The Bullring arrives at Deimos. The Seleya is still here, having set up a shantytown for the survivors of the city and offering them aid and relief. Jocelyn goes to speak with Saren, Ouragana decides to help out the town, Val goes looking for Mist, Gallath runs into Naishe, Baeros and Drav go on a patrol, and Naras heads into the city to look for the Son of Crizza. Jocelyn has a breakthrough while speaking with Saren. Ouragana regains her confidence after using her magic to help others. Val rescues Mist from a pack of sahuagin. Gallath and Naishe are attacked by a woman named Penta who thinks they are both demons; it turns out that she is half right and Naishe is part demon. After fighting a slaad, Naishe and Gallath carrying the unconscious Penta back to the ship. Naras finds the Son of Crizza with a slaad, which he unleashes upon her. She defeats the slaad and the Son of Crizza teleports away again.

Sardonx 11, Frostday - The party wakes up and has breakfast in the galley. Jocelyn explains a change of plans; she wants to deal with the Poison Curse peacefully and thinks finding Sable will be the key to that. Naishe tells Gallath that Penta is awake, and most of the party (except Naras and Val) go down to see her. Val climbs up to the crow's nest with Javos and Naras goes to speak with Hofur. Penta demands to be released and insists Gallath and Naishe are demons. Gallath manages to convince her he isn't, just stained with their blood. When it is suggested that Penta has demon blood, she flies into a rage and bursts down the cell door, revealing she is an aasimar. Sierra quickly disables her. Penta manages to escape and attacks Naishe. The party disables both and locks up Penta again. Val waxes poetic with Javos, but quickly gets over it. Naras walks up to the top deck and sees some undine in the ocean. She offers to heal any who are wounded, but then grows suspicious when they agree to it. Eventually, she and Val decide to go. After casting Water Breathing, they jump into the ocean. They are taken to the undine's leaders, who are all unconscious. Naras realizes she cannot cast underwater and is taken to a chamber with air in it. After healing one of their leaders, Serenna, she and Naras get into an argument. Naras eventually apologizes and heals some other undine.

Sardonx 12, Darkday - The Bullring approaches Seschell Island to test the cannon. Sierra orders it tested on the top of a mountain on the island at full power. The result is spectacular; the entire mountaintop is blown away. An argument breaks out whether this kind of power should be wielded or destroyed. Eventually, the party convinces Sierra to destroy the cannon. Meanwhile, Naras and Val wake up and the former does more healing. When they set off, Naras tells them of the time she met an undine named Silverfrond. It's revealed that Silverfrond is the name of their mother, the chieftainess of their tribe, the one they are rescuing. They arrive at the ixitachitl lair, but Val winds up giving away their position to the two guards outside and they are forced to attack. One of the guards slips inside, to warn the others. The party fights their way inside. Soon they discover that the ixitxachitl are sacrificing those they kidnap to their demon god for boons. Silverfrond would be very valuable as a sacrifice, so the party must find her soon.

Sardonx 13, Lightday - The Bullring continues its journey toward Draska Island.

Sardonx 14, Rockday - The Bullring continues its journey toward Draska Island, passing by Ketos Island where the Storm Sorcerer Academy resides.

Sardonx 15, Seaday - The Bullring arrives at Draska Island, in the town of Enott. The party, including Brock and Naishe, disembark. Jocelyn gets a lot of dirty looks due to her vestments. They enter the Golden Tooth Tavern and ask about Sable, but don't get anything. Jocelyn considers going back to the ship and letting the others do the legwork for her, but nobody else likes the idea. Jocelyn instead bribes the innkeeper with a pair of platinum to learn that the best way to find Sable was to speak to a man named Raven, who ran an orphanage. Jocelyn seems to know who he is, and leads the party right there. A bunch of the orphans approach and wind up picking Baeros' pockets. Inside, they meet Raven who is training orphans for a variety of jobs. He eventually recognizes Jocelyn. He claims she owes him 500 gold for running off before he could sell her. If she agrees to pay that, and helps him recover a stolen slave, he'll make contact with Sable for her. The party agrees and heads to the warehouse where the stolen slave is being held. Jocelyn, Ouragana and Naishe go in, pretending to be slavers. They manage to buy the slave in question for 550 gold pieces. Meanwhile, the others wait outside. Baeros intimidates and provokes some of the locals, causing them to draw guns. The party then attacks and kills them.
