Lost Souls: Tales of Amtar

I'm sure you've all noticed by now that there's a new forum up. But I thought I'd post this here to make things nice and official, and also as a place where new potential players can post to show interest.

This is a homebrew game I'm running with 2nd Edition AD&D. It's a rebooted version of the world where I held my old campaigns, before coming to Planet. It's also the first non-module I've run since arriving at Planet.

There's no hard minimum or maximum number of players, so this game is always considered 'open' for new players.

At the moment, we're starting at 1st level and are playing in a group of tropical islands. That means plenty of sea monsters, mermaids, pirates and what have you. If you're interested, post here or send me a PM.

This is just an update to say that we lost two players recently, and while we're fine at just four, there are a couple of slots open should anyone be interested.

Grun Drugan - Dwarf Fighter, resident of Narin, possibly the guard?
If you would be happy for me to join I'll design him while I am away next week.

What would his starting level and gold be?

First of all, I moved this post over here, where it belongs, as Jerrard is not authorized to post in the Lost Souls forum and was only able to do so because of an abuse of Jenara's admin powers.

With that out of the way, I honestly don't think it's a good idea for Jerrard to join--for a number of reasons--but most of all, due to his health concerns. Wasn't he supposed to be decreasing the number of games he is in, due to his heart?

Still, I appreciate the interest shown. I'm hoping to bring in new players, though, and increase Planet's overall population, which will result in more games and more players, and so on.

Abuse? More like oversight on my part, I posted it myself for him then thought it was better to make the post from him.

As for the character, was a suggestion like it was stated.
Have you taken the time to ask how he is? He's actually much better.

Anyway regardless, the decision is respected.

Either is fine. We have a ranger and could use a new rogue, though.

Current party make up is:

Female Human Cleric 5 (CG)
Female Human Mage 4 (CG)
Female Half-Orc Fighter 4 (CN)
Male Human Ranger 4 (NG)

Depending on which class you choose, you'll be either level 4 or 5.

I've added you to Lost Souls, so you should be able to post there now. I'll introduce you in the OOC chat thread, and you can meet everyone there. Then we can begin work on creating your character.
